Billy Branch Releases New Album The Blues Is My Biography Release date: November 7, 2025 Billy Branch stands as an enduring ambassador of Chicago Blues, dedicated to keeping the music’s heritage alive while carrying it forward to new audiences. With a career spanning over 50 years, Billy Branch stands as one of the most celebrated figures in modern blues. An Emmy Award winner, three-time Grammy nominee, and Blues Hall of Fame inductee, Branch has performed with a veritable “Who’s Who” of the genre. Mentored by legends such as James Cotton, Junior Wells, Willie Dixon, and Big Walter Horton, he has carried the blues tradition forward while shaping it for new generations. In addition to recording 15 albums with his renowned band, the Sons of Blues, Branch has contributed to more than 300 recordings, collaborating with iconic artists including Koko Taylor, Willie Dixon, Eric Bibb, Johnny Winter, Taj Mahal, Keb’ Mo’, Son Seals, and Big Head Todd, among many others. Now, Branch tells his own story on his most personal project yet: The Blues Is My Biography.
