Blues-rock powerhouse Ana Popovic brings the funk on her new album Dance To The Rhythm Release date: September 26, 2025 On her latest release Dance To The Rhythm, powerhouse guitarist Ana Popovic blends her signature searing blues style with elements of rock, R&B, soul, and funk to create a sound that is fresh, unpredictable, and unmistakably her own. The Serbian-born, Los Angeles–based artist – celebrated for her electrifying guitar work and captivating live shows – delivers a vibrant ten-track collection that feels like an open invitation to the dance floor. From the upbeat, groove-driven “Worked Up,” “Hurt So Good,” “Sho’ Nuf,” and the title track, to a reimagined take on Paul Simon’s classic “Fifty Ways To Leave Your Lover,” the album is packed with surprises. Highlights also include the funk-meets-rap energy of “California Chase” and “Hottest Ticket In Town,” the gospel-tinged “Dwell On The Feeling” with its soaring vocals and fiery licks, and the soulful showcase “Soulution.” Together, these songs form a mission statement: Ana Popovic is back, stronger than ever. Reflecting on the project, Popovic shares: “Dance To The Rhythm sums up my life and affection towards this incredible path of music I chose, my perseverance and joy of being who I am – musically and in every other way – surrounded with people that support my vision. Back in 2022 and 2023 with the Power album I wasn’t sure of anything. I didn’t know if that would be my last record, if I needed a break, or if I could physically keep touring and recording. Those were the most challenging years of my life, and the future was uncertain.” Over the past three years, Popovic and longtime collaborator Buthel crafted ten new songs that reflect both where they are today and where they want to go in the future. “People write to satisfy critics, or to please the ‘blues police’ or the ‘rock police.’ We write to serve the live show, to inspire the band. That’s my passion and that’s my quest in music,” Popovic explains. “And as with every record I’ve ever made, this album lets you discover a new Ana while reminding you who I really am. Because, my dear fans and friends, you haven’t heard it all just yet.” With Dance To The Rhythm, Ana Popovic merges the soulful bliss of ’70s funk and R&B with her fearless brand of modern blues. The result is a barnburner of an album that proves she remains one of today’s most inventive and exciting guitarists. Tracks: 01. Dance To The Rhythm (4:13) 02.
