Duane Betts Releases “Best Wishes” From Upcoming Album Isle of Hope Duane Betts has shared “Best Wishes,” the latest single from his forthcoming album Isle of Hope, arriving June 12 via Sun Records. The release marks Betts’ first project with the legendary label. Discussing the new track, Betts explained, “Life is like this constant accumulation of experiences. Sometimes, they come so fast, they kind of pile up before we can fully appreciate them. The idea of ‘Best Wishes’ is a reminder to take some time to reflect and appreciate those experiences.” Produced by Dave Cobb and recorded over five days at Cobb’s studio in Savannah, Isle of Hope features 10 tracks, including previously released singles “Down to Houston” and “Heartache.” The latter was written following the death of Betts’ father, Dickey Betts, and arrives in recognition of the second anniversary of his passing. Additional contributors on the album include Johnny Stachela, J.D. Simo, Brian Allen, Philip Towns and Derrek Phillips. Betts and his band Palmetto Motel will continue touring through the fall, with upcoming stops at venues including Gramercy Theatre, Troubadour, Lincoln Theatre, Majestic Theatre, SPACE and Sweetwater Music Hall. Isle of Hope follows Betts’ 2023 solo debut Wild & Precious Life, which featured appearances from Derek Trucks, Marcus King and Nicki Bluhm. Prior to launching his solo career, Betts co-founded The Allman Betts Band alongside Devon Allman. Since forming in 2018, the group has released two studio albums and toured extensively, including the annual Allman Betts Family Revival, which has featured guests such as Jimmy Hall, Robert Randolph, Jason Isbell, Charlie Starr and Marcus King.
