​Following the success of her highest-charting album to date last year, Elles Bailey returns with her brand-new record Can’t Take My Story Away, out January 16th via Cooking Vinyl and Outlaw Music.
To mark the announcement, Elles has unveiled the album’s first single, “Growing Roots,”

​Fiercely independent and one of Britain’s most distinctive voices, Elles Bailey returns with her brand-new album Can’t Take My Story Away, out January 16th via Cooking Vinyl and Outlaw Music. The record, produced by Luke Potashnick and featuring a stellar lineup of musicians, presents eleven tracks that mark Bailey’s most personal and powerful work to date.

“There’s definitely an empowerment to this record,” says Bailey. “It carries a quiet strength and deep-rooted honesty. While some moments reflect the hardest chapters of my story, there’s a joy threaded through every note as if a light has found its way in, even during the darkest times.”

Can’t Take My Story Away will be available on CD, CD Zine, coloured vinyl, cassette, and in signed editions. Fans who pre-order from Bailey’s official store will gain early access to tickets for her 2026 tour, with pre-sale beginning Wednesday, September 24th at 10am before general sale opens Friday, September 26th at 10am.

The first single from the album, “Growing Roots,” is out now. A groove-driven track that highlights Bailey’s raw, soulful vocals, it’s a love song about finding the person who inspires you to settle down. “It’s about choosing to put down roots and grow together, but also about the lessons they teach you the beauty of truly living in the moment,” Bailey explains.
