 After the great single “Smell The Roses”, just one day before International Women’s Day on March 7th, the new single from Erja Lyytinen, “The Ring”, has been released, and soon the new double album, “Smell The Roses”, will be out. This straightforward upbeat rock song bunches you in the face and pushes you to a wrestling circle for a proper sweat! The story is about facing challenges, when you have no other chance than to get into the ring and defend yourself. Come on, let the game begin! “Smell The Roses” the new studio album by award-winning guitarist and blues artist extraordinaire Erja Lyytinen, will be released on March 28th, 2025. Elaborating on the track Erja said: “The message is simple - wake up and Smell the Roses. There’s so much beauty in the world, so why don’t we stop and enjoy it rather than fighting and wanting more.” Erja Lyytinen, also know as Queen Of The Slide Guitar, is one of the leading blues-rock guitarists on the international touring circuit. During a recording career spanning 19 years, she has released twelve studio albums as well as several live albums. Lyytinen’s musical pallet is vast, encompassing the very best of contemporary blues-rock whilst inspired and influenced by the blues greats of yore. Erja made history by being the first Finnish artist nominated at Canada´s Maple Blues Awards in the B.B. King International Artist of the Year category. Erja Lyytinen’s sound has evolved over the years. Beginning with her traditional blues roots, Lyytinen has been simultaneously pushing forward with a hard rock-orientated style of play whilst always keeping that blues sound at the core of everything she does. “My sound has changed since the last live recording.
