Fix My Broken Blue, the 25th new single from Americana troubadour Drew Young

“Fix My Broken Blue” is the 25th single from Mississippi-based Americana Singer/Songwriter Drew Young. Drew has been bouncing around the globe for 2 decades soaking up stories, getting scars, causing trouble living between the peaceful and idyllic Hattiesburg, Mississippi and the chaotic decayed elegance of New Orleans. It is this eternal battle between chaos and peace that feeds the creative soul. We need both of them but in equal measure. Drew ultimately found and made his home in the fertile soil of Mississippi, where he spends time restoring an early 1900’s home, writing songs and preparing for his next tour, album project or other creative endeavour. His music is a wholly original experience; some have called him the Americana Crooner, a moniker that fits him well. Refreshingly honest, defiantly original and always Mercurial and Insightful, Drew’s music is sure to connect and resonate.
 
Despite the title, Fix My Broken Blue is a positive, upbeat and uber catchy song with rollicking piano, Allmanesque slide guitar and a big sing along chorus that will be the spring time ear worm. 
 
Fix My Broken Blue was recorded in Nashville, TN, in the middle of the pandemic. Featuring members of Clint Black’s band, The band leader from Hal Ketchum and the guitar player from Trigger Hippy. 
 
Fix My Broken Blue is a musing of how when we are broken-hearted it is easy to attempt to distract ourselves from the hurt by diving into crowds and work and parties.. but that mask is opaque and those that know us can see through it..
