Kirk Fletcher & Erika Baier Unite for Soulful New Single “Cold Cold Feeling”
Two blues powerhouses--Kirk Fletcher and Erika Baier—join forces across continents for a soulful, electrifying collaboration that bridges tradition with modern artistry. Set for release on March 27, 2026 via VizzTone Label Group, their new single “Cold Cold Feeling” captures the raw power and grit of the blues in a stripped-down duo format.

When Baier and Fletcher take the stage together, something rare happens: voice and guitar move as one, breathing life into every note. Their partnership unites two lifelong journeys—different paths converging through a shared devotion to the timeless spirit of the blues.

Baier’s story begins in a small town in southern Sweden, where she discovered the genre through her father’s record collection and local festival performances by blues legends. That early spark led her to form Erika Baier and the Buzz in 2014, win the Scandinavian Blues Contest with a dozen original songs, and release her debut single “For Granted” (2016), followed by her acclaimed album How ’bout That (2018). With a series of soulful releases since, she has established herself as a compelling contemporary voice—one Fletcher describes as “unique and at the same time deeply rooted in the tradition.” Whether channeling the raw emotion of “Cold Cold Feeling” or the uplifting tone of “Change for the Better,” Baier delivers with striking honesty and depth.

Fletcher’s journey began in Bellflower, California, where he learned guitar in his father’s church in Compton, immersed in gospel and blues from an early age. His career has since flourished through collaborations with Kim Wilson and The Fabulous Thunderbirds, as well as performances alongside icons such as Joe Bonamassa, Cyndi Lauper, and Charlie Musselwhite. His solo catalog—including Hold On, My Blues Pathway, Heartache by the Pound, and Keep on Pushing—has earned international acclaim and Billboard chart success, with Guitar World praising his playing for its “sweetness and authenticity that screams class.”

Their connection was cemented at the Gothenburg Blues Festival in 2022, where mutual admiration quickly evolved into a creative partnership. In 2024, Baier invited Fletcher to contribute to her single “Complicate,” and by 2025, he returned the favor—bringing her on board as a special guest for the Joe Bonamassa Blues Cruise. Their onstage chemistry electrified audiences and signaled the arrival of a powerful new collaboration.

Now united as kindred spirits in the blues, Fletcher and Baier are currently working on a forthcoming album alongside acclaimed rhythm section players Jimi Bott and Randy Bermudes, slated for release later this year.

This is only the beginning—Kirk Fletcher & Erika Baier are a partnership to watch.
