Laurence Jones returns with his powerful third single, “Get Back Up,” accompanied by a brand-new lyric video.

The track offers another glimpse into what promises to be Jones’ most personal project to date: his first-ever solo acoustic album, On My Own, arriving January 23, 2026. The album marks a return to the artist’s earliest musical roots while exploring themes shaped by his ongoing journey living with Crohn’s Disease.

“‘Get Back Up’ came to me in a time of need,” Jones shares. “I needed something to literally pick me back up. I kept moving one step forward and two steps back, and that’s what this song is about—determination, grit, and the fight in you to keep going. Whether you’re physically getting up off the floor when you’re ill or mentally telling yourself ‘you’ve got this,’ that mindset has been a big part of my healing. I wanted the music to carry a swagger and a backbeat you can feel like a pulse. The a cappella vocals at the end were something I’d wanted to try for a long time, and this song gave me the confidence to go for it. I hope you enjoy the video. I named my record label after my best friend and grandad—Ron Records—and we always used to play dominoes together. At the end of the video, there’s a photo of us at the kitchen table when he was first teaching me how to play.”

A classically trained guitarist who earned Grade 8 Distinction at just 18, Jones blends his formal foundations with the blues sound that first brought him international acclaim. Despite significant health challenges, he has carved out an impressive career, earning multiple British Blues Awards, selling more than 50,000 albums worldwide, and topping the Official UK Jazz & Blues Chart. With On My Own, Jones leans fully into raw storytelling, vulnerability, and emotional clarity through a stripped-back acoustic lens.
Jones will bring On My Own to audiences across the UK on his Solo Tour 2026, launching January 23 in London.

Opening the tour is Nottingham singer-songwriter Amy Eftekhari, Jones’ life partner and a rising artist known for her heartfelt, unguarded approach to songwriting. Her debut EP, All the Words, showcases a compelling blend of vulnerability, strength, and authenticity qualities that have become her creative signature.
