 Ledfoot 'Plain Simple Honesty' Release date: May 27, 2025 This is a collection of raw, emotionally charged songs that cut straight to the core. Told through small but resonant stories, the album guides listeners through the shadowy depths of the human psyche, where hardship is a constant, yet resilience remains. The album’s themes feel especially timely in today’s uncertain and often bleak world. The title track, along with the recent single “Hard Times,” offers a stark and unflinching portrait of everyday struggles in 2025. Musically, Plain Simple Honesty fuses Ledfoot’s unmistakable style with the spirit of classic American singer-songwriters. He plays not only his signature 12-string guitar but also baritone guitar, bass, percussion, and banjo — the latter being the first stringed instrument he picked up, influenced by early heroes like Doc Boggs and Roscoe Holcomb. Recorded at Studio Nyhagen, the album was co-produced by Ledfoot alongside Kjartan Hesthagen and Markus O. Klyve. Klyve also contributes backing vocals, keyboards, and percussion, helping to craft a sound that bridges the haunting atmosphere of Ledfoot’s Norwegian Grammy-winning 2022 album Coffin Nails with the raw edge of 2024’s Outsiders.
