Minnesota-based singer, songwriter, and guitarist Mark Cameron has been a driving force in live music for more than thirty years. Emerging from the vibrant folk-rock scene of the early 1970s, Mark carried those roots into a series of successful bands throughout the ’80s and ’90s before finding his true home in the blues.

Today, Mark focuses on crafting original blues music defined by strong melodies, vivid storytelling, and undeniable groove. His songs push the boundaries of traditional blues built for the stage with “foot-stompin’, butt-shakin’” energy that keeps audiences moving.

Following five studio releases during the 1980s and ’90s, Mark turned his creative attention fully to the blues with Life of Illusion (2009), featuring the crowd favorite “Boxcar Blues.” His follow-up, Built to Bust (2011), introduced fan favorites like “Do Lovin’ Right” and “Tough All Over.”

Subsequent albums have showcased Mark’s range and evolution: One Way Ride to the Blues (2014) with its raucous anthem “Life Is Good When You’ve Got the Blues,” the gospel-tinged “In This House,” and Playing Rough (2016) released in both digital and vinyl formats. Later releases, On a Roll (2019) and Nasty Business (2023), continue his legacy of delivering powerful, original blues.

The Mark Cameron Band (MCB) has been a consistent top finisher in regional blues competitions and was featured on the 2012 Minnesota Blues All-Stars album.

Renowned as a charismatic front man and soulful guitarist, Mark connects deeply with his audiences through performances marked by authenticity, humor, and heart. Whether playing acoustic or electric, he brings his songs to life with a dynamic vocal range that spans from smoky baritone to full-throttle growl. As a songwriter and arranger on all his recordings, Mark Cameron paints vivid portraits of the many worlds within the blues each one delivered with passion, precision, and unmistakable style.
