Angelique Francis A powerhouse multi-instrumentalist, singer-songwriter, and composer whose talent defies her years. From her first stage appearance at just seven years old to making her American national television debut at thirteen on the Oprah Network where she wrote and performed the original theme song for The Gayle King Show. Angelique’s career has been defined by talent, passion, and unstoppable momentum. With a voice described as rich and soul-stirring, Angelique captivates audiences worldwide through her commanding stage presence, masterful musicianship, and exceptional songwriting. Blending Blues, Soul, Folk, Jazz, and Rock into an eclectic mix that is uniquely her own, she delivers original compositions that embody her deep love and respect for music in all its forms. In recent years, Angelique has rapidly emerged as one of Canada’s most exciting voices in the Blues, Soul, and Roots music scenes. Selected as one of the Top 6 Emerging Blues Artists in a nationwide search by the Toronto Blues Society, she went on to represent the organization at the prestigious International Blues Challenge in Memphis, Tennessee. She has since earned a Stingray Rising Star Award nomination from Ottawa’s CityFolk Festival (Marvest) and was named a winner in the Canada’s Walk of Fame RBC Emerging Artist initiative, which led to collaborations and performances alongside some of Canada’s most iconic musicians. Her impressive live résumé includes headlining and featured performances at major festivals and stages across the country, including Massey Hall’s Women’s Blues Revue, Montreal Jazz Festival, Ottawa Jazz Festival, Aurora Winter Blues Festival, Mont-Tremblant Blues Festival, Trois-Rivières Blues Festival, Ottawa Folkfest, Val-d’Or Blues Fest, Calabogie Blues Festival, Unity Festival, and Ottawa Blues Festival, among many others. Beyond her music, Angelique is deeply committed to giving back. Recognized not only as a leading emerging artist but also as a community leader, she has volunteered her time with numerous charities and youth mentorship programs. Her efforts have been honored with an Ontario Leading Women, Building Communities Award (recognizing women who have made a lasting difference across Ontario), a Global Alliance Community Builder Award (for using music to give back), and the Art Child Award (celebrating youth making an impact through art).
