The Tangerine Master Series Releases No One Does It Like…Ray Charles!
A First-Ever Collection Of Rare Mid-’60s Singles, B-Sides & Non-Lp Tracks

The Tangerine Master Series proudly announces the release of No One Does It Like…Ray Charles!, an extraordinary new collection gathering for the first time ever a wealth of Ray Charles’ mid-1960s singles, B-sides, and non-LP gems into one cohesive album. Long hidden in the margins of his towering discography, these recordings capture the Genius at the height of his creative powers and offer a vivid snapshot of a particularly prolific and artistically explosive period in his career. The album is available everywhere now.

Featuring standout tracks like “My Baby Don’t Dig Me,” “Without Love (There Is Nothing),” “Worried Life Blues,” and a top-10 rendition of Doc Pomus and Mort Shuman’s classic “No One,” the collection highlights Charles’ unparalleled vocal range, emotional depth, and genre-defying mastery. The release arrives in a meticulously crafted package inspired by the visual style of Charles’ mid-’60s albums, complete with an illustrated cover hand-painted by Paul Mann known for his work on the Fantastic Four series and key art for James Bond films, Quentin Tarantino, Sergio Leone, and more. No One Does It Like…Ray Charles! stands as an essential addition to the Ray Charles canon.
An official music video for the first single, “No One,” premieres today.

Founded by Ray Charles in the 1960s, Tangerine Records continues to celebrate the 17x GRAMMY® Award-winning singer, songwriter, and pianist’s singular legacy through the Tangerine Master Series—a program of restored and remastered reissues spotlighting both his most beloved recordings and long-out-of-print classics ready for rediscovery. Every release is restored under the direct supervision of The Ray Charles Foundation, illuminating new layers of Charles’ artistry for longtime fans and new listeners alike.

Award-winning poet, essayist, and cultural critic Hanif Abdurraqib contributes an exclusive essay written for the release, reflecting on the magnitude of this material. “A discography can define legacy…but each Ray Charles song is a universe,” he writes. “No One Does It Like…Ray Charles! is an offering which makes that plain.” Abdurraqib highlights how these tracks—once scattered across singles and bonus releases—now reveal, in one place, a portrait of Charles “attacking each note…at the height of his power of feeling.” He adds: “It is easy to look at these specific songs and say Ray Charles had the blues, but the blues are a primary color…made up of many parts: longing, fear, desire. I love a singer who can show you how the paint is mixed.”

No One Does It Like…Ray Charles! follows this month’s reissue of the long-out-of-print 1970 classic Love Country Style, available now for the first time since its original release. A fan favorite and one of the finest examples of Charles’ groundbreaking country-soul crossover, the album features lush, gospel-tinged arrangements and definitive performances including his iconic take on “Ring of Fire” and “Don’t Change On Me,” a top-20 R&B and top-40 pop hit. Fully restored and remastered, it finally returns in partnership with The Ray Charles Foundation.

Also available now is the long-awaited reissue of 1963’s landmark Ingredients in a Recipe for Soul—a top-10 blend of jazz, soul, and pop standards featuring the GRAMMY®-winning smash “Busted.” This marks the album’s first official vinyl reissue in over 50 years, and its first appearance on CD since the 1990s.
These releases join the newly remastered Tangerine Master Series edition of 1974’s Come Live With Me, a pop and gospel-infused showcase of Charles’ unmatched versatility, now available on all DSPs, CD, and vinyl for the first time in more than five decades.

In the early 1960s—just one pop hit into his career—Ray Charles recognized he’d outgrown the confines of the traditional music industry. Determined to secure both creative and financial independence, he negotiated a groundbreaking deal granting him full ownership of his recordings and the freedom to build his own publishing company, recording studio, and business operations. Recording what he wanted, when he wanted, Charles answered only to himself. Tangerine Records was born from this revolution—founded by Ray Charles to achieve greatness entirely on his own terms—and remains the sole authorized home for many of his most important works.
As an independent artist with unshakable instincts and unrivaled talent, Charles described his A&R philosophy simply: “If I like it, I’m gonna sing it.” The result is a body of work that defies category and rewards curiosity. For every iconic song or classic album, a dozen revelations remain—each crafted with care, delivered with soul, and continuing to inspire generations around the world.
