 Robbert Duijf – Silver Spoon Release date: March 21, 2025 Robbert Duijf Band Winner European Blues Challenge 2024 Following the award-winning success of his 2023 album Change Myself, which earned the title of "Best Dutch Blues Album," Robbert now returns with a brand-new release filled with Blues, Folk, and Americana. While staying true to his signature acoustic Blues sound, this album explores even broader musical influences compared to his previous two studio recordings. It’s a rich and diverse collection of 12 tracks, each telling beautiful new stories that invite listeners on a captivating journey. For this project, Robbert entered the studio alongside his live band. He delivers Guitar, Vocals, and Harmonica, while his eldest son, Rubin Duijf, takes on Double Bass, and Robin Zalm provides the Drums. Adding even more depth, several friends and guest musicians joined the recordings, enhancing the album’s warmth and authenticity. Notably, the two members of the former European Blues Challenge-winning band The Ragtime Rumours contributed to the album’s dynamic sound: Sjaak Korsten on Backing Vocals and Thimo Gijezen on Piano. Percussion was masterfully handled by Massimo Bombrini from the band Komodo, with Angelo Bombrini lending his talents on Banjo. The album was produced by Angelo Bombrini at Husky Studios, ensuring it stayed true to Robbert’s vision of a fully acoustic experience. Embracing old-school, one-track recordings with minimal overdubs, Robbert delivers an organic and raw sound that embodies his passion for music and storytelling. Tracks:
