Robert Jon & The Wreck Release Soulful and Sinister Single “Dark Angel” A Southern Rock Standout from Upcoming Album ‘Heartbreaks & Last Goodbyes‘ “Dark Angel” spins the tale of a mysterious woman in Savannah, Georgia—part ghost, part memory, and part muse. Driven by vivid storytelling, smoky guitar lines, and a sultry country-soul groove, the track paints a moody portrait of Southern folklore, where the line between desire and illusion blurs. “‘Dark Angel’ was one of those songs that just flowed during our sessions at the legendary RCA Studio A in Nashville,” recalls guitarist Henry James. “We had the chance to collaborate with the incredible Leslie Satcher—whose work with George Strait, Martina McBride, and Vince Gill speaks for itself. The lyrics were sparked by one of her personal encounters as a touring artist—an enigmatic woman in a Savannah bar—and from there, the song just took on a life of its own. Her storytelling and lyrical finesse made it easy to build on.” With its gritty riffs and southern rock swagger, the song was a perfect match for Dave Cobb’s production style. And as fate would have it, we ended up recording it in the very place that inspired it—Savannah. We’re thrilled to finally let ‘Dark Angel’ out into the world.” Website: robertjonandthewreck.com Opmerkingen zijn gesloten.
