 Ryan Bingham Announces New Album They Call Us The Lucky Ones Release date: May 15, 2026 It has been since 2019’s American Love Song that Ryan Bingham released a full studio album. In the years since, the acclaimed Americana songwriter, actor, and proud Texan has remained a constant presence on the road — most notably touring alongside The Texas Gentlemen. Now, that creative partnership takes center stage on his new album, They Call Us The Lucky Ones, arriving May 15 via Thirty Tigers. “After years of being out on my own and playing shows on and off with The Texas Gentlemen, I realized somewhere along the way I was part of a band again without really planning it,” Bingham shares. “’Ballad of The Texas Gentlemen’ came out of that moment — being back on the road with people you trust and remembering why you fell in love with playing music in the first place.” The Texas Gentlemen — Ryan Ake (guitars), Daniel Creamer (piano, organ), Paul Grass (drums, percussion), and Scott Lee (bass) — provide the core foundation of the record, joined by Richard Bowden (fiddle, mandolin) and Cody Huggins (electric and acoustic guitar, pedal steel). Self-produced and written by Bingham, They Call Us The Lucky Ones was recorded largely live, with minimal overdubs. “There was an unspoken understanding between us about what each song needed,” he explains. “We just played and let the feel lead.” Following the experimental tones of 2023’s Watch Out For The Wolf, the new album marks a return to Bingham’s gritty, Western-tinged songwriting roots. Loose, soulful, and unvarnished, it captures the raw spirit of musicians locked in together in real time. “This was probably the most fun I’ve had making a record,” Bingham says. “I’ve always loved albums that feel live and a little imperfect — where you can hear the moment.
