​Renowned Modena-based rock and blues guitarist Simone Galassi will release his self-titled album Simone Galassi on major digital platforms on Friday, September 19th. The album is preceded by the single “I Have To Tell You,” recorded and produced in collaboration with Carlo Poddighe. 

Listening to Simone Galassi is like stepping back in time, to an era when the spirit of Woodstock still loomed large and authenticity mattered more than image. Rooted in the classic traditions of rock and blues, Galassi embodies an unmistakably “old-school” approach—one that feels timeless, even as it unfolds in the 21st century.

A leading figure on the Emilia-Romagna music scene for more than three decades, Galassi has performed hundreds of concerts in Italy and across Europe, including Germany, the UK, and the Netherlands. He is especially celebrated for his acclaimed tribute performances to Rory Gallagher, whose influence runs deep in Galassi’s expressive guitar style and no-frills musical philosophy.

While Gallagher remains a central inspiration, Galassi’s sound also reflects the lasting impact of icons such as Jimi Hendrix and Jimmy Page, who helped shape both his technical command and emotional intensity. Offstage he may appear reserved, but once in front of an audience he becomes a commanding and charismatic guitar hero.
