Steve Earle & Reckless Kelly Release New Single “Dead or Gone to Dallas”

Following the buzz of their first collaboration earlier this summer, GRAMMY-winning songwriter Steve Earle and acclaimed Americana band Reckless Kelly return with their brand-new single, “Dead or Gone to Dallas,” available now on all digital platforms.

Written by Earle, “Dead or Gone to Dallas” marks the second release from his recent studio sessions with Reckless Kelly. Driven by an uptempo shuffle and laced with Earle’s signature wit, the song reflects on the reality that “everybody I know is either six feet under or moved to Dallas.”

“It’s just unapologetic country rock with a band behind me that knows how to do that,” says Steve Earle.
The track showcases the perfect blend of Earle’s sharp, flinty storytelling and Reckless Kelly’s hard-earned road energy.
“The first time I heard the demo, I thought, ‘This is the perfect song for us to put our stamp on — it’s got that vintage Steve Earle vibe we cut our teeth on,’” adds Willy Braun of Reckless Kelly.

Earlier this summer, Earle and Reckless Kelly shared the stage on a run of co-headlining shows, including a celebrated appearance at the Calgary Folk Festival. Both artists will continue touring through the fall.
