 Stuck in the Mud is Christopher Wyze’s woeful, witty tale of a mucked-up serial loser. And hey, it’s co-written with Cary Hudson, Southland Music Line’s 2023 Music Artist of the Year. You know, he’s the fella Jason Isbell calls “a national treasure.” Juke Joint fun…Listen as Wyze gets himself unstuck long enough to drag his carcass in front of the mic and lay down some drippin’ good vocals and harp. Uncle! Then, he sends things over to Mr. National Treasure himself (Cary Hudson!) for some extra-swampy slide guitar work. Lord have mercy! The new single is the title track to Wyze’s 13-song debut album of originals, also called Stuck in the Mud (but you knew that…us Southern Indiana boys need help with concepts like “title track”).
