Tedeschi Trucks Band Announces Sixth Studio Album Future Soul and Shares First Single “I Got You”

Release date:
March 20 2026

GRAMMY Award-winning powerhouse Tedeschi Trucks Band (TTB), led by dynamic husband-and-wife duo Susan Tedeschi and Derek Trucks, has announced their sixth studio album, Future Soul, and released the first single, “I Got You.” The 11-track collection described as the band’s most powerful work to date will be released on Friday, March 20, via Fantasy Records, coinciding with TTB’s 10-show residency at New York City’s Beacon Theatre.

Written by guitarist and vocalist Mike Mattison, “I Got You” channels the spirit of Derek and the Dominos and Delaney & Bonnie, delivering a driving, mid-tempo groove. “It’s a breath of fresh air and pretty different for us,” says Trucks. “It feels like the band, but it doesn’t feel like anything we’ve done before.”

Produced by Mike Elizondo (Twenty One Pilots, Eminem, Dr. Dre, Carrie Underwood) and co-produced by Trucks, Future Soul was recorded at Swamp Raga Recording (Jacksonville, FL) and Phantom Studios (Gallatin, TN). The album follows TTB’s 2022 conceptual quadruple studio release I Am The Moon and their 2025 live record, Tedeschi Trucks Band and Leon Russell Present: Mad Dogs & Englishmen Revisited (Live at Lockn’). Featuring songwriting from Trucks, Tedeschi, Mattison, Gabe Dixon, and Tyler Greenwell, the album draws from funk, rock ’n’ roll, blues, soul, punk, and more, showcasing the band’s unparalleled versatility and collaborative spirit.

To support the release, TTB has announced the Future Soul 2026 Tour, produced by Live Nation. Following the Beacon Theatre residency (March 10–28), the 35-date spring tour begins April 14 in Dallas, with stops in Fort Worth, Houston, Raleigh, and Atlanta (co-headlining with Jason Isbell and the 400 Unit). The summer/fall leg features a return to Red Rocks Amphitheatre (July 31–August 1) and stops in major U.S. markets, including Seattle, Los Angeles, Chicago, and more. Select dates will include special guests Sheryl Crow, Lukas Nelson, JJ Grey & Mofro, and Molly Tuttle, with four co-headlining shows alongside Alabama Shakes. TTB will also appear at Bonnaroo, New Orleans Jazz & Heritage Festival, Telluride Bluegrass Festival, and their own Sun, Sand & Soul experience in April.

Future Soul builds on TTB’s acclaimed legacy. Their debut studio album, Revelator, won the 2012 GRAMMY for Best Blues Album, and 2018’s Live from the Fox Oakland received a nomination for Best Contemporary Blues Album. Since forming in 2010, the band has earned multiple Americana Music Honors & Awards nominations and won Band of the Year at the Blues Music Awards in 2013, 2014, 2017, and 2023. Highlights include sold-out shows at Madison Square Garden, over 20 nights at Red Rocks Amphitheatre, performances at the 2024 Kennedy Center Honors, and the 2025 Rock & Roll Hall of Fame induction ceremony honoring Joe Cocker with an all-star set.
