Tedeschi Trucks Band Shares Dreamlike New Single “Who Am I” Ahead of Future Soul Release

​Tedeschi Trucks Band returns with the release of its new single, “Who Am I,” offering the latest preview of the band’s forthcoming studio album, Future Soul, arriving March 20 via Fantasy Records.

Written by Susan Tedeschi and Derek Trucks alongside bandmates Mike Mattison and Gabe Dixon, “Who Am I” builds on the emotional depth that defined the band’s breakthrough single “Midnight in Harlem,” while pointing toward a fresh creative chapter.

“‘Who Am I’ feels a little bit like a dream to me,” Trucks shares. “The riff came naturally one morning while we were writing together at our farm in Georgia. Susan immediately found the opening vocal melody and lyric, and Gabe took it somewhere beautiful from there. It feels biographical and a bit surreal at the same time. I always love when a song can put you in between worlds.”

Future Soul marks the band’s sixth studio album and features 11 tracks, including the previously released single “I Got You.” Produced by Mike Elizondo and co-produced by Trucks, the album captures a fully collaborative band dynamic and draws from an expansive range of influences — from funk and rock and roll to blues, soul, and punk.
