The Band of Heathens Announce New Album Country Sides, Out February 20, 2026 The Band of Heathens will release their new album Country Sides on February 20, 2026. Co-produced with longtime collaborator Jim Vollentine (Spoon, Patty Griffin, White Denim), the record delivers a gritty, guitar-forward blend of roots rock, barroom piano, and soulful, swaggering anthems. The announcement arrives as the band celebrates a major milestone: their recording of “Hurricane” has officially been certified platinum. Now marking 20 years together, founders Ed Jurdi and Gordy Quist continue to thrive through the same independent spirit that took them from Austin barrooms to stages around the world. To celebrate their anniversary, the band will play a run of Texas homecoming shows this November in San Antonio, Houston, Dallas, and Austin, wrapping up at ACL Live at The Moody Theater on November 29. The first single, “High On Our Own Supply,” is out today — a warm, laid-back roots-rock track reflecting on the band’s two decades of staying true to their sound. Recorded in just over a week at their Austin studio The Finishing School, Country Sides features standout tracks including the swampy “Take The Cake,” introspective “Pleasing People,” and anthemic “Lead Don’t Follow.” The album celebrates the band’s longtime DIY ethos and their belief in crafting music on their own terms. With a platinum-certified hit, over a billion streams, and nine acclaimed studio albums, The Band of Heathens continue to forge their path with honesty, endurance, and a signature mix of country, soul, folk, and rock & roll.
