That live-wire energy courses through every track from the swagger and sharp wordplay of the title cut “Help Yourself” to the soul-baring ballad “Alive,” a deeply personal anthem born from grief and healing. “Alive is about my girl Jackie,” Zito explains. “After the tremendous loss of my wife Laura, I thought love was over. But God had another plan Jackie came into my life and made me feel alive again.” Castiglia brings his signature grit and authenticity, especially on “Can’t Be a Prophet,” a wry reflection on life on the road and the sobering contrast of homecoming. “It’s based on our real experiences,” he says, “being treated like royalty on tour, then coming home to little fanfare.” The band — Scot Sutherland (bass), Lewis Stephens (keys), and the dual-drum attack of Matt Johnson and Ray Hangen delivers with groove, soul, and relentless precision, elevating every track with dynamic power and finesse.
