Chris O'Leary is among the blues and roots world’s most talented unsung heroes. The Marine veteran, ex-Federal police officer and former lead singer of Levon Helm's band, The Barn Burners, has walked a hard line from his upstate New York home to stages all over the world. 

​THE HARD LINE shines with 12 striking original songs that draw from O’Leary’s rich personal history.  Engaging, sharp-edged observations on life and love are shot through with everyman wisdom and humor, and set to rollicking roadhouse R&B, hard Chicago blues and wrenching ballads.  O’Leary’s rough, riveting vocals and world-class harmonica playing set the pace throughout. 
 
THE HARD LINE is produced by O’Leary himself.  With over 30 newly-written, never-recorded songs to choose from (mostly written during the downtime of the pandemic), O’Leary and Alligator President Bruce Iglauer carefully picked what Chris calls “the best of them all.”
