The Red Clay Strays have announced their highly anticipated new album, Grateful, set for release on June 5, 2026 via HBYCO Records/RCA Records. Once again produced by Grammy-winning producer Dave Cobb, the 11-track collection captures a sound the band describes as equally at home “spilling out of dance halls on Saturday night” as it is “filling church steeples on Sunday morning.”

Grateful represents the next chapter in the band’s remarkable rise from their hometown of Mobile, Alabama, to selling out arenas worldwide, spearheading a revival of classic roots rock. Their journey began with the independently crowdfunded debut Moment of Truth in 2022, followed by the critically acclaimed Made By These Moments in 2024, which chronicled perseverance through hardship.

Recorded between Cobb’s home studio in Savannah, Georgia and the iconic RCA Studio A in Nashville, Grateful reflects both musical growth and personal reflection. The six-piece band—Brandon Coleman (lead vocals, guitar), Drew Nix (guitar, vocals), Andrew Bishop (bass), Zach Rishel (guitar), John Hall (drums), and Sevans Henderson (keyboards)—collaborated closely throughout the process, workshopping ideas and co-writing songs during the sessions.

“Moment of Truth was about having faith in dark times and looking to a higher power,” says Coleman. “Made By These Moments was about realizing those struggles shaped who you are. Now we’re at a point where we’re simply grateful. Faith has been a constant thread through all of our music.”

Bassist Andrew Bishop adds, “The title reflects exactly where we are right now. We’re grateful for everything we came through and everything we have today.”
The album is introduced by its powerful opening track, “Demons In Your Choir.” A deeply personal and spiritual reflection, the song begins with haunting organ notes before building into a rousing, foot-stomping anthem, complete with soaring guitar riffs and a gospel choir led by Shannon Sanders. The accompanying music video, directed by Matthew Coleman and filmed in Mobile, further underscores the track’s emotional depth.

“It’s a different sound,” Coleman notes. “This whole album explores new territory for us. ‘Demons In Your Choir’ felt like the perfect way to open that door.”
