The Revivalists Announce New Album Get It Honest, Share Powerful Lead Single “Heart Stop” Release date: July 24, 2026 The Revivalists have announced their long-awaited new album Get It Honest, set for release on Friday, July 24 via Concord Records. Vinyl pre-orders and pre-saves are available now. Marking the RIAA Multi-Platinum-certified New Orleans band’s sixth studio album and their first full-length collection of new material in over three years, the record arrives alongside the release of its powerful opening track, “Heart Stop,” out now on all platforms. Driven by tangled guitars, thunderous drums, and soaring, full-throated vocals, “Heart Stop” captures the band’s signature intensity while exploring themes of perseverance and emotional conflict. Frontman David Shaw confronts the uncertainty of the future head-on, delivering a defiant climax: “I’m not afraid of the future comin’ my way / I’m over wasting my time.” The single is accompanied by an official music video, directed by filmmaker Caroline Iaffaldano and shot entirely on a first-person helmet camera, placing viewers inside a classic New Orleans shotgun house alongside dancer Malerie Dempster. “This song might hit a little different for everyone, and I love that,” says Shaw. “But for me, it’s about being caught between two loves—one that’s tearing you apart and one you know is right. It’s about the sleepless nights, the wreckage, and finally surrendering to what’s meant for you.” Produced once again by GRAMMY® Award-winner Rich Costey (Vampire Weekend, Foo Fighters, Death Cab for Cutie), Get It Honest was recorded at Guilford Sound in Vermont—the same studio where the band teamed with Costey for 2023’s Pour It Out Into the Night. This time, however, The Revivalists present a more cohesive vision across the album’s 12 tracks, reflecting a band that has honed its identity through years of experience and shared resilience. With seven of its eight members now fathers, Get It Honest carries the weight and perspective of a band entering a new chapter. The songs grapple with letting go of the past and embracing what truly matters—love, grace, and personal growth. Tracks like “Razorblades and Runways,” “Lost and Found,” and the emotionally charged title track underscore this evolution, revealing a sense of restraint and clarity that points toward a unified path forward. “To me, this album is about understanding where you are and learning to shape it—like a potter working clay,” Shaw reflects. “Our flaws and imperfections are what ultimately make us human and beautiful.” TRACKLIST: Heart Stop Lost And Found Get It Honest Blood On The River Razorblades and Runaways Love The Only Thing Holy Bad Bad Bad The World Is Not Enough As Of Now Nobody Lay It On Me Website: therevivalists.com Opmerkingen zijn gesloten.
