The Timeless Legacy of Roberta Flack Shines Bright with the Release of Holidays

A Newly Remixed and Remastered Collection Arriving October 28

The extraordinary legacy of the late, great Roberta Flack continues with the upcoming release of Holidays, a specially curated collection celebrating her unmatched artistry. Featuring selections from Flack’s beloved The Christmas Album, this new edition has been remixed and remastered in immersive ATMOS spatial audio and will be available digitally for the first time on October 28.

Holidays showcases Flack’s signature elegance and soulful expression across a collection of cherished holiday standards and heartfelt originals including “There’s Still My Joy,” co-written by Beth Nielsen Chapman, Melissa Manchester, and Matt Rollings. Originally released in 1997, The Christmas Album remains one of Flack’s most acclaimed works, with The New York Times naming it among the year’s Top 10 holiday albums. Critic Ann Powers praised Flack’s approach, writing: “Approaching the season in typically mellow style, the elegant Ms. Flack juxtaposes old favorites with reflective ballads about love lost and found during the season when pulled heartstrings hurt, or heal, the most.”

The collection’s first focus track, “The Christmas Song (Chestnuts Roasting on an Open Fire),” highlights Flack’s celebrated vocal mastery. Her warm, graceful performance envelops listeners in the spirit of the season an instant classic destined to take its place alongside holiday staples by Nat King Cole and Bing Crosby.

The 11-song set opens with the debut of “Eternally,” a previously unreleased gem that embodies the grace, intelligence, and emotional depth that defined Flack’s GRAMMY® Award–winning career spanning more than five decades. Marked by her impassioned vocals and a message of enduring love, “Eternally” stands as the first posthumous musical release from the trailblazing artist since her passing earlier this year.

Recorded in 1997 and produced by longtime collaborators Jerry Barnes, Suzanne Koga, and Joan Martin, “Eternally” is available now across all digital streaming platforms.
With Holidays, Roberta Flack’s voice once again lights up the season reminding the world why her music remains timeless, tender, and truly unforgettable.
