GRAMMY® Award-winning vocalist, songwriter, guitar icon, producer, and Gov’t Mule frontman Warren Haynes has announced the re-mixed and re-mastered reissue of his debut solo studio album, Tales of Ordinary Madness. Due out January 30 via Megaforce Records, the expanded 12-track edition features one previously unreleased bonus song. The album was produced by Chuck Leavell with co-production by Haynes, newly re-mixed by Jim Scott at Plyrz Studios, and re-mastered by Greg Calbi and Steve Fallone at Sterling Sound. Tales of Ordinary Madness (2026 Edition) is available for pre-order now. To launch the campaign, Haynes has unveiled the first single—its electrifying opener, “Fire In the Kitchen.”

Originally released in March 1993, Tales of Ordinary Madness announced Haynes as a formidable solo artist, showcasing a powerful fusion of soulful songwriting and virtuosic guitar work across a genre-blending landscape of rock, blues, and soul. At the time, Rolling Stone praised the record as “a powerful solo debut,” noting Haynes’ gift for crafting both “melodically exquisite Jimi Hendrix-influenced ballads and blasting rockers.” AllMusic hailed the release as “a refreshing change of pace” from his work with the Allman Brothers Band—of which he was then a full-time member—and highlighted the strength of his songwriting and standout vocal performances. The outlet further declared that Haynes “amply demonstrates why he is one of the most lauded straight-ahead rock lead guitarists of the ’90s,” a reputation that has only grown as he continues to be celebrated among Rolling Stone’s “Greatest Guitarists of All Time.”

This February, Haynes will embark on a rare, intimate solo tour. Across two-set, stripped-down performances, he’ll delve deep into his extensive catalog—spanning Gov’t Mule, solo material, and Allman Brothers Band favorites—along with select covers that shaped his musical journey. The 11-date run, February 12–26, includes a two-night stand at the new Blue Note Los Angeles (February 17 & 18), with two shows each night. The Winter of Warren 2026 then continues March 1–7 with a brief run of Warren Haynes Band headlining dates. Tickets and VIP packages for all shows are on sale now at warrenhaynes.net. New holiday merchandise is also available.

Haynes recently released The Whisper Sessions, the stripped-down companion to his acclaimed 2024 solo album Million Voices Whisper, both via Fantasy Records. Produced by Haynes and featuring performances by longtime ABB bandmate Derek Trucks, Million Voices Whisper—his first solo release in nearly a decade—has been praised as his strongest work yet, a fiery blend of soulful blues-rock. In contrast, The Whisper Sessions offers intimate, unadorned versions that spotlight Haynes’ soulful vocals, masterful guitar playing, and deeply felt storytelling.
