Now much to the excitement of the band's fans worldwide, the Doug Wahlberg Band has released their highly anticipated debut album "Flying Under The Radar"! Says Doug, “After Jeff Claypool joined the band, we decided that it was time to stop flying under the radar, and put out a new album. The CD was recorded digitally and in part on 2-inch tape, over several months, starting with the roughs in my home studio. Roughs for 'Love When it Rains', 'What If', 'Nothing' and 'Torture' were brought for mixing and mastering to Peter Hodgson, who has worked with Deep Purple, Gary Moore, and many others. 'The Lake', 'Broken', 'Waiting on the Sun', and 'Can't Wait' were recorded and produced at Moomba Studios (moombastudios.com) by Michael Patzig, who has worked with such artists as Michael Bolton. The album follows the theme of 'A Modern Approach to a Retro Sound'. Writing was inspired by everything from 'neighborhood experiences' in The Lake, to the answers to life's questions in 'What If'.”
