Story about the Album "Svim na zemlji":
This album has been several years in the making.
I've had different ideas: covers of foreign songs, like Jingle Bells, vocal collaborations, combinations of both, etc., and I've recorded a lot of demos.
Finally, last Christmas inspiration struck, and I had a specific idea how my Christmas album should sound like: instrumental, warm, intimate, not overproduced- as natural as possible.
I wanted the album to have a festive Christmas atmosphere, a bit jazzy and funky, even gospel, but to keep the uniqueness and beauty of Croatian traditional Christmas songs. For that I knew I needed excellent musicians, who not only played well, but understood my idea and were able to translate it into music.
This could only have been done with the help of my closest associates, wonderful musicians: Jurica Leikauff on keyboards, Elvis Penava on guitar, Dubravko Vorih on bass and young Mario Klarić on drums.
The sound I wanted came about after a lot of work. Arrangements, recording preparation, recording itself and mixing took a long time (I don't know what my neighbours thought when I rehearsed Christmas songs in the middle of summer.)
During this whole process I've enjoyed every step immensely, especially the collaboration with amazing people, aforementioned colleagues, sound mixer Bojan Pahljin in RSL studio in Novo Mesto, as well as the guys from KADAR 22 agency, who created the visual identity
