All good things must come to an end. That old adage holds true for bands as well. After fifteen glorious years your Gas House Gorillas have called it a day. Believe me, it is not a decision that we came to lightly. Like any endeavor, we have had our ups and downs over the years. The one constant has been you crazy beautiful people. Your loving support and friendship has sustained us from the get go. Many years ago, I started the band that I wanted to be in because it didn’t exist. It has been an honor to play for you and a bittersweet reality for me that I am walking away from the greatest musical family that I have ever had. Thank you Crusher (my partner in crime) Carmean, Oscar Rodriguez, Dave Moore and all of the incredible musicians who came before. You guys have been the life blood of this band and I am heart sick thinking of the music we may have made going forward.
At the end of the day it’s just a band, People. Bands break up.
Thank you for allowing us to be a part of your lives and for making my life a joyful rollercoaster ride of crowd surfing musical adventure.
With a lump in my throat I leave you with these words… Shut up.
I love you all.
