A Moment In Time is the latest release by Isaiah B Brunt, Australian Blues artist, singer/songwriter and multi-instrumentalist.
Using the experience he learnt as a studio man working with local and international acts including celebrities Keanu Reeves, the Randy Jackson band and Julio Iglesias orchestra, Isaiah has put together a refreshing take on delivering the blues. This album embraces the distinct flavor of New Orleans with the addition of a brass section that will tantalize the listener. A Moment in Time features iconic musician George Porter Jr of “The Meters” on bass. Also making his presence felt is accomplished saxophonist Jeffery T Watkins, past musical director to James Brown.

As always, these songs include the high level of writing and stories that fans revere, and have come to expect. Of course the music itself is not to be dismissed. On the contrary, this music demands to be heard. Brunt’s playing reminds us of the great Lonnie Mack; unhurried, at times playful, but always a thoughtful touch, and well played. Brunt effortlessly intertwines dance floor grooves with more serious moments on more than one occasion, and takes it down a notch for half tempo jam 'Travel Back in Time' before bringing the beat in for 'Party Late All Night' at which point I wish I was enjoying this live with a whiskey or seven.
