Canadian guitarist and songwriter Mark Crissinger has been performing in pubs, clubs, festivals, and fairs since 1987. Between 1987-2007 he played an estimated 1500 shows in Ontario and Quebec, including eighteen tours of the Maritime Provinces. During that time, he was a member of Sweet Jones (89-93) who was signed to EMI and recognized for their songwriting and strong work ethic. Mark was also a member of Toronto’s infamous Caution Jam for twelve years.

After moving to British Columbia in 2007 he began to focus on a solo career showcasing his love for songwriting blues and roots music. Since then, he has released five solo albums and played over 800 shows including thirteen eastern Canadian tours and several west coast music festivals. His one-man show features an array of crazy guitar solos and flawless looping which has gained him popularity on the solo tour circuit. The CRISSINGER-BAND is known for their upbeat danceable show and always features an all-star cast. His 2015 album "Blues Expression" received great reviews from critics and extensive airplay on blues radio programs across Canada and the United States.

Crissinger’s fifth solo studio album Night Light continues on his “new blues” journey. Blending traditional themes with clever lyrics and modern arrangements, these songs capture his singer-songwriter soul and the blues in his heart. The songs explore the pros and cons of love, loss, fickle fame, and faith. With 10 original tracks, highlights onNight Light include the country-blues opening track “Holding My Heart”, the rockin’ “Poor Boy Blues”, a song about the fortune of being able to make a living in music. “Defeated” is a gritty number about getting knocked down and rising up. “The Sunday Blues” and “Cedar Shuffle” are bluesy and fun, danceable numbers, while “Wild Wind Fever” is an intense, guitar-driven track.

"I really enjoyed making this album and am quite pleased with the results. Lyrically, there are ten separate ideas here that are honest and heartfelt. Sewn together by great musicianship and spontaneous construction”, says Crissinger. “Rick Salt has done an excellent job for me once again. I am extremely grateful to everyone involved in making Night Light."

Night Light features the JUNO nominated rhythm section of Bill Hicks and Jay Stevens plus long-standing Crissinger-Band members Dan Dube and Marty Howe plus special guests Steve Hill, Pat Rush, Jerome Godboo and Jeff Heisholt.
