Paradiddle Records is excited to announce that "Foothill Freeway" by Pete Mancini will be released on May 4th.
Pete Mancini is the front man and primary songwriter of Butchers Blind, a critically acclaimed rock band from NYC. His debut solo album, "Foothill Freeway", explores the Americana influences that are a hallmark of his work with Butchers Blind. For this album, Pete was inspired by the story songs of artists like Guy Clark and Bruce Springsteen.
Mancini ... pens tunes that sometimes suggest Steve Earle jamming with early Wilco. - NPR 3/31/17.
Pete Mancini offers another showcase for his terrific songwriting chops, to be sure, ... Mancini's plaintive Everyman voice is an absolutely perfect fit for the kind of music he makes-indie-inflected Americana that's deceptively simple and devastatingly honest. - Daily Vault 3/31/17
The album will be released May 4th on Paradiddle Records, and features contributions from Iain Matthews (Fairport Convention, Plainsong), Buddy Woodward (Dixie Bee Liners), Jonathan Preddice (Miles to Dayton), Russ Seeger (Last Hombres), Cassandra House, Travis McKeveny, Skip Krevens, as well as members of Butchers Blind.
