Shake N' Cor & the Bonetones music is Blues/Roots music with Jazz-Gospel- sometimes rockin' overtones. the music is led by singer songwriter Corry Suter's sultry vocals, Shakey Reay Suter's soulful World Class Harmonica, & backed by award winning players Sandy Sandybone Smith on drums, Dave "Double D" Dykhuizen on Guitar, Keith"Poppy" Picot on Acoustic Bass, & Dave Webb on Piano.
Corry Suter is originally from Holland & has been a productive Singer Songwriter for over 20 years, & an amazing visual artist for longer than that. She has been writing & singing since childhood.
The harmonica playing of Shakey Reay Suter has enhanced the airwaves, stereos, and stages of Canada and the United States for over thirty years becoming a mainstay of the live music & studio scene, recording on countless jingles, demos and Cd’s, including recording sessions with Will Millar(Irish Rovers), Colin James, Jack Lavin(Powder Blues)& many more. His bands included the Muddy Fraser Band , Clyde Roulette, the T-Bones with Sandybone, & Steve Kozak, and The Russell Jackson Band. He toured extensively in U.S. and Canada. In 1990, Shakey won the Yale Hotel Harp Wars Championship in Vancouver.
Sandy (Sandy Bone) Smith is an award winning drummer as well as songwriter guitarist /singer. He won the award for top Blues drummer in the West Coast Blues revue magazine 8 consecutive times. He had tenure with many great bands including The Twisters, Sue Foley, Steve Kozak, Harp Dog Brown among many others.
Keith "Poppy" Picot has won the Maple Blues award as Canada's top Blues Bass Player, & also numerous awards with bands including the Twisters & Cousin Harley.
Dave "Double D" Dykhuizen - an electrifying blues guitarist and a powerful soulful vocalist. He has perfomred and recorded with some of the best - including Sugar Blue, Nigel Mack, harp Dog Brown, Mitch Kahmir & Kenny Blues Boss Wayne among many others
Dave Webb's sensitive musicianship and understanding of the Roots & Blues is a vital link in the band sound. Dave is a in demand player around Vancouver. He has worked with Nigel Mack, Tim Hearsey, Powder Blues, Jack Lavin, Harp Dog Brown, Russell Jackson, & Steve Kozak among others.
