A.J. Fullerton has released "Change Is Inevitable," the second single from his forthcoming EP Baretone

Release date: september 11 via Gitcha Records.
Built around Fullerton's expressive baritone guitar, the track bridges traditional Delta blues with a contemporary perspective. "Change Is Inevitable" reflects on the ever-evolving nature of music, culture, and the human experience while honoring the fingerstyle blues that first shaped the Colorado-born, Nashville-based guitarist's sound.

Speaking about the single, Fullerton explains: "'Change Is Inevitable' serves as both a tribute to the classic fingerstyle Delta Blues that shaped my early influences and a contemporary interpretation of the genre. The song reflects on the constant state of transformation intrinsic in all music, culture, and the human experience. Through life's unexpected twists and turns, one thing remains certain: change is inevitable."

Recorded at Mark Anderson's Cowboy Cowabunga Ranch in Evergreen, Colorado, the track features Fullerton on baritone guitar, slide guitar, and bass, alongside drummer Tim Carman and backing vocalist Lauren Frihauf. Lyrically and musically, the song explores the unstoppable passage of time and the ways change reshapes our lives, whether welcomed or resisted.
Baretone also marks the first recording collaboration between Fullerton and Carman. With little pre-production, the sessions embraced spontaneity over perfection, with the core performances captured live in the room to preserve the natural chemistry between the musicians.

Originally from Colorado and now based in Nashville, Fullerton has spent more than a decade establishing himself as a respected fingerstyle and slide guitarist, songwriter, and producer. Over the course of his career, he has shared stages with acclaimed artists including Robert Cray, Jimmie Vaughan, Samantha Fish, Christone "Kingfish" Ingram, Charlie Musselwhite, and Otis Taylor, among many others.
