'Submerged allies' is a song about the cognitive dissonance of confused and manipulated masses, and on how inherently detrimental it is to our common goal in attempting to pave the way towards a better world, as a people. It’s about being tricked into thinking that our peers are our foes and falling into the ingeniously orchestrated trap that our fair-weather friends in charge have laid for us, overcoming ill-placed projection, alienation, and rejoining your allies to save the promise in rowing in the same direction.” - Alice George Perez
'Submerged Allies' is the second single of the upcoming debut album of Brussels based avant pop folk artist Alice George Perez. An intimate, but dark song about love and the pain it can bring. Full album 'A Song With The Title Of Lunch Bells' will be released on 10th October on MOKUHI sonorities. 'The Crow', the first single of the record, was released in July.
Alice will not only play solo shows anymore to present her debut album. She will go on tour with a brand new live band consisting of Yannick Dupont (Ottla, Jawahr) on drums, Nicolas Rombouts (SPOOK, Dez Mona, Jim White) on double bass, Ma Clément (Fievel is Glauque) on backing vocals and Raphaële Germser on viola.
