Blues‑rock fire and raw emotion collide in Eliza Neals’ “Wicked Heart”

Blues‑rock singer‑songwriter Eliza Neals unveils the music video for “Wicked Heart,” the third single from her acclaimed album Thunder in the House.

Where the previous single “Love Will” leaned into emotional vulnerability, “Wicked Heart” strikes a darker, more urgent tone. Neals channels frustration with a fractured world into a fierce blues‑rock anthem built around the haunting refrain “Wicked heart, tearing me apart.” The track mirrors the chaos of a destructive relationship with the turmoil unfolding across society, touching on themes of greed, corruption, exploitation, rising costs, war and human suffering — all framed through the familiar sting of betrayal.

It’s a song that operates on two levels: a raw portrait of toxic love and a broader reflection on the forces dividing people everywhere. Neals’ commanding vocals and signature blues‑rock grit drive the track to a feverish intensity as its message grows sharper and more urgent.

The new music video adds a striking visual layer to “Wicked Heart,” further spotlighting Thunder in the House, Neals’ latest chapter in her evolving postmodern blues sound.
