Powerhouse vocalist Sari Schorr will release her new album Running Wild via Provogue / Artone Label Group on October 9 in Europe and October 30 in the USA. To mark the occasion, she’s unveiled the video for the album’s first single, “Mr. In The Middle,” and will support the release with an extensive European tour kicking off in September.

Born in Brooklyn and forged in the rock clubs of New York City, Schorr has never been one to stand still. From the explosive arrival of her solo career in 2016 to her acclaimed collaboration with guitar legend Robin Trower, she’s spent the past decade in constant motion — chasing inspiration, breaking boundaries, and carving out her own lane in modern rock and blues.

With Running Wild, Schorr channels that momentum into her most personal and defiant record yet. “I’ve reached a deeper understanding of who I am as an artist,” she says. “I trust my instincts more and follow each song to its emotional truth. These songs explore defiance, self‑discovery, resilience, and transformation. I hope they lift people above the weight of everyday life and remind them that brighter days are possible.”

New Single: “Mr. In The Middle”
Speaking about the first single, Schorr explains: “‘Mr. In The Middle’ is about the intoxicating pull between two people who can’t quite let each other go. The chemistry is real, but while one is ready to commit, the other keeps drifting between desire and distance. The song captures that seductive, maddening tension — and the moment when attraction is no longer enough.”

It’s a perfect showcase for Schorr’s formidable voice — rich, gritty, and capable of shifting from a kerosene‑fueled roar to a heart‑stopping whisper. She’s a rare one‑off: a warrior onstage, a balladeer with emotional depth, and a passionate social activist offstage. All of those facets shine through on Running Wild.

A Life Built for Music
Born to a fashion‑model mother and an Air Force pilot father, Schorr seemed destined for a life in music. In another universe, she might have become an opera star. But the emotional truth of Ella Fitzgerald, Etta James, Billie Holiday, Bessie Smith, and Ma Rainey pulled her toward a different path — one rooted in soul, blues, and raw expression.
Her early years in the South Bronx were a crash course in crossing musical boundaries. “It was a dangerous neighborhood,” she recalls. “Gunshots outside the rehearsal studio weren’t unusual. But those musicians taught me how to blend genres and break rules. I didn’t know then how important that would become when I started writing my own songs.”
Her 2016 debut A Force of Nature — produced by British blues icon Mike Vernon, who came out of retirement for the project — established her as a major new voice. She followed it with Never Say Never (2018), Live in Europe (2020), and her celebrated collaboration with Robin Trower on Joyful Sky (2023).

The Making of Running Wild
In 2026, Schorr felt fresh inspiration taking hold. She assembled a trusted creative team: co‑producers Jamie Walker (guitar, bass) and Luke Paget (drums), along with acclaimed keyboardist Bennett Holland. “They’re incredible musicians,” she says. “The inspiration we felt when we entered the studio was electric.”
The result is Running Wild — a bold, emotionally charged album that captures Schorr at her most fearless. “I think the album title captures something essential in me,” she says. “I’m drawn to that place where vulnerability and strength exist side by side. True freedom comes from letting go of judgment, trusting your instincts, and following the music without fear.”

For Schorr, Running Wild marks a milestone. “It’s the album I’ve dreamt of making all my life. It feels like a defining moment, and I don’t say that lightly. This record gave me more than I expected, and I hope it gives something meaningful back to the people who hear it.”
