Christone “Kingfish” Ingram Drops New Single “The Chase,” Announces Hard Road Extended

Christone “Kingfish” Ingram has unveiled a new single, “The Chase,” alongside news of an expanded edition of his third studio album, Hard Road. The updated release, Hard Road Extended, arrives October 16 via Red Zero Records and adds four previously unreleased tracks to the original album.

“The Chase” leads the new material—an atmospheric, contemporary blues cut built on a heavy groove and Ingram’s unmistakable guitar tone. Lyrically, it digs into the thrill and danger of pursuing someone even when you know the relationship might be headed for trouble.

The extended edition also features the unreleased tracks “Train,” “(Still) Nothin’ But Your Love,” and “Two. Four. Eight.” The latter includes a guest appearance from acclaimed drummer Yussef Dayes.

Hard Road was executive‑produced by Ingram and Ric Whitney, with production from Patrick “Guitar Boy” Hayes, Nick Goldston, and longtime collaborator Tom Hambridge. The album continues Ingram’s evolution beyond traditional blues, weaving in rock, funk, soul, pop, and R&B influences.

Reflecting on the project, Kingfish says:
“This record comes from real-life reflection. I’ve been balancing fame, heartbreak, love, and relationships while trying to stay grounded, touring, creating, and maturing. These songs are about owning my story… learning to see myself clearly and seeing others with more compassion.”

To support the release, Ingram will appear on CBS Saturday Morning on October 10, performing as part of the show’s “Saturday Sessions.”

He’s also continuing his Hard Road Tour, which picks back up October 2–3 with two performances at New York City’s Metropolitan Museum of Art. The North American run continues through November, with an additional date scheduled for January 2027 in Gainesville, Florida.
