GRAMMY® Award-winning blues, rock ‘n’ roll, soul, and R&B guitarist and vocalist Christone “Kingfish” Ingram unveils a fresh, soulful direction on his latest single, “Nothin’ But Your Love,” now streaming on all digital platforms. Infused with heartfelt lyricism and smooth R&B grooves, the track sets the stage for Kingfish’s highly anticipated new album, Hard Road, arriving Friday, September 26 via his own Red Zero Records.

Hard Road will be released in multiple formats, including digital, standard Green & White Swirl vinyl, and a limited run of 500 Purple & Gold Swirl vinyl, offered exclusively through the official Christone “Kingfish” Ingram webstore. Of those, 100 special editions will feature a Golden Ticket insert, redeemable for two tickets to a Kingfish concert of the winner’s choice.

A proud native of Clarksdale, Mississippi—a city long revered as the cradle of the blues Christone “Kingfish” Ingram embodies both tradition and transformation. Rooted in the spirit of the Delta and inspired by legends like B.B. King, Albert King, and Buddy Guy, Ingram first captured attention as a teenage guitar prodigy. What distinguishes him today is not only his command of the instrument but his fearless expansion of the genre, weaving elements of funk, soul, hip-hop, pop, and jazz into a modern blues fusion that bridges generations and styles.

His 2019 debut, Kingfish, spent an astonishing 91 weeks atop Billboard’s Blues Albums chart, earning his first GRAMMY® nomination and three Blues Music Awards, including Album of the Year. He followed with 2021’s 662 named for his Mississippi area code which won the GRAMMY® and Blues Music Award for Best Contemporary Blues Album. In 2023, his fiery Live in London release earned yet another GRAMMY® nomination, along with a second Blues Music Award for Album of the Year and a third consecutive win for Best Contemporary Blues Album.

Now comes Hard Road, a project that reflects Ingram’s evolution from hometown phenom to global standard-bearer for a new generation of blues. Executive produced by Ingram and Ric Whitney for Red Zero Records, with production from Patrick “Guitar Boy” Hayes, Nick Goldston, and longtime collaborator Tom Hambridge, the album stands as his most personal and ambitious statement to date—musically, lyrically, and emotionally. Tracks like “Nothin’ But Your Love” and “Standing on Business” wrestle with themes of love, loss, perseverance, and identity, delivered with a sharper edge and deeper soul than ever before. As always, Kingfish’s guitar remains the anchor raw, tender, explosive, and profoundly human blending rock and R&B textures into a sound firmly rooted in the blues tradition.

“This record comes from real-life reflection,” Ingram explains. “I’ve been balancing fame, heartbreak, love, and relationships while trying to stay grounded, touring, creating, and maturing. These songs are about owning my story. They’re about learning to see myself clearly and seeing others with more compassion. That’s changed the way I write, the way I play, and the way I live.”

With Hard Road, Christone “Kingfish” Ingram offers not just an album, but a declaration a testament to growth, resilience, and the boundless future of the blues.
