Emmylou Harris announces 2026 European Farewell Tour Fourteen-time Grammy winner and Country Music Hall of Fame inductee Emmylou Harris has announced her final European tour, kicking off in the UK and Ireland in early 2026. Additional UK and Netherlands dates are set for May, with more countries to be revealed. Special guest Jim Lauderdale will join her as the opening act on select evenings. This limited run of intimate performances celebrates one of American music’s most cherished voices, offering evenings of songs and stories that reflect Harris’ extraordinary journey through folk, country, and Americana. “My way of saying thank you for all the years of music, memories and support you’ve shown me,” Harris says. Over a career spanning five decades, Harris has released more than twenty-five albums and contributed her unmistakable voice to countless recordings by fellow artists. Her achievements have been recognized with her 2008 induction into the Country Music Hall of Fame and a Grammy Lifetime Achievement Award in 2018. Renowned for her plainspoken yet poetic songwriting and her uniquely expressive vocals, Harris is regarded as one of the most influential women in music. She has collaborated with an extraordinary range of artists, including Linda Ronstadt, Daniel Lanois, Bob Dylan, Mark Knopfler, Neil Young, Gram Parsons, Willie Nelson, Dolly Parton, Roy Orbison, Ryan Adams, Beck, Elvis Costello, Johnny Cash, Lucinda Williams, Lyle Lovett, and Rodney Crowell. Half a century into her storied career, Harris continues to share the hard-won insight that comes with time while still looking forward. A committed social activist, she has long advocated for numerous causes—most passionately animal welfare. In 2004 she founded Bonaparte’s Retreat to rescue homeless dogs and place them in permanent, loving homes. The organization continues to save vulnerable dogs from Metro Nashville Animal Care and Control and surrounding county shelters.
