Joanne Shaw Taylor and Orianthi Collaborate on New Blues-Rock Single “What Good Is My Love?”9/3/2026
Joanne Shaw Taylor and Orianthi Collaborate on New Blues-Rock Single “What Good Is My Love?” British blues-rock guitarist and singer Joanne Shaw Taylor has unveiled a new single, “What Good Is My Love?”, featuring Australian guitarist and singer-songwriter Orianthi. The song is out now via Journeyman Records and offers the latest preview of Taylor’s forthcoming studio album, expected later this year. Built around a slow-burning groove and emotive guitar work, “What Good Is My Love?” reflects on the uncertainty and heartache that come when love is no longer returned. Taylor’s soulful vocals anchor the track, while Orianthi contributes a striking guitar solo that amplifies the song’s emotional core. “We’ve probably all been in that position at some point in life when the love we give isn’t returned,” Taylor says. “Whether it’s unrequited or it simply fades. I wanted to write a song for those moments when you’re left asking, ‘What good is my love if it’s not enough?’” The single follows the recent release of “Hell Or High Water,” a blues-gospel-inspired track centered on perseverance and personal struggle. Both songs will appear on Taylor’s upcoming album, which follows her acclaimed release Black & Gold.
