Laurence Jones Unveils New Single “On My Own”  Title Track from His First-Ever Acoustic Album

Out January 23, 2026

Award-winning blues-rock guitarist, singer, and songwriter Laurence Jones announces the release of “On My Own,” the title track from his forthcoming acoustic album, arriving January 23, 2026 via his own label Ron Records.

The album marks a new chapter for Jones, following what he calls “the most difficult year of my life,” after battling Crohn’s disease. Written during a flare-up, On My Own is a raw, honest reflection on resilience, love, and life on the road.

“I found a way to keep going by going solo,” Jones shares. “Writing about my struggles and my blues  this is almost a rebrand. Just me and my acoustic guitar. It’s intimate and takes me back to where it all began.”

Forced to adapt his energetic stage style under doctor’s orders, Jones developed a seated acoustic setup that inspired a fresh, organic sound. The result is a stripped-back, soulful collection that reveals a more vulnerable side of his artistry.

As an ambassador for Crohn’s & Colitis UK, Jones hopes the record will resonate with others facing similar challenges. “I’d lost three stone and was in pain while recording this track,” he recalls. “But I didn’t want this disease to stop me from chasing my dreams.”

Produced by Wayne Proctor, the album blends autobiographical storytelling with Jones’ lifelong passion for the blues  a nod to influences like Robert Johnson and Lightnin’ Hopkins.
Determined to take full creative control, Jones launched Ron Records, named in loving memory of his grandfather, and personally booked his upcoming tour. Each show is designed to balance performance with health, bringing fans an intimate and emotionally charged experience.

Joining Jones on tour is his fiancée Amy Eftekhari, who will release her debut EP — co-produced by Jones and Proctor — to coincide with the live dates.
Despite his challenges, Laurence Jones continues to earn acclaim as one of the UK’s premier blues-rock talents  a #1 artist on the Official UK Jazz & Blues Chart, ranked among the Top 10 Blues-Rock Guitarists in the World by MusicRadar, and a British Blues Awards Hall of Fame inductee. He has shared stages with legends including Sir Ringo Starr, Van Morrison, Jeff Beck, and Status Quo.

“This album is one of my proudest moments,” Jones says. “It’s fully independent and made on my own terms  just me, my story, and the blues.”
