Robert Jon & The Wreck Release “Long Gone” a powerhouse new single co-written with John Oates and produced by Dave Cobb Southern California rock titans Robert Jon & The Wreck are back with their electrifying new single, “Long Gone.” Co-written with the iconic John Oates (Hall & Oates) and produced by Grammy Award-winning Dave Cobb (Chris Stapleton, Rival Sons, Brandi Carlile), this fiery track delivers a potent blend of bluesy storytelling and hard-hitting rock grit. Now available on all major streaming platforms, “Long Gone” solidifies the band’s place in the modern rock scene. Frontman Robert Jon Burrison reveals, “‘Long Gone’ came from a co-write with John Oates during a trip to Nashville. Working with such a legendary artist was an incredible honor. Once we brought it to Dave Cobb, the song transformed, driven by a riveting riff and a face-melting solo. It’s about a relationship that just can’t heal, something everyone can relate to.” Originally conceived during a writing session at the historic RCA Studio A, the song evolved through several iterations before Cobb’s visionary production turned it into something raw and captivating. Guitarist Henry James adds, “Working with Dave was beyond inspiring. His ability to capture spontaneous ideas was next-level. Any previous arrangement of the song went out the window. Dave had a fresh perspective, and after some back-and-forth of rough onomatopoeias, we just went for it. What you hear today was jammed out in just a few takes.” A gripping fusion of blues, soul, and high-octane rock, “Long Gone” continues a banner year for Robert Jon & The Wreck. Following the high-energy “Sittin’ Pretty” and the introspective “Ashes in the Snow,” each new release showcases the band’s evolving artistry, building anticipation for their upcoming studio album set to drop this summer. With a slate of high-profile performances ahead, Robert Jon & The Wreck are primed for another unforgettable year on the road.
