Although often linked to the Lone Star State since settling in Dallas, Texas, in the early '90s, vocalist and guitarist Shawn Pittman actually hails from Oklahoma. Over the years, Pittman has played alongside renowned musicians like Sam Myers, The Texas Blues Guitar Summit (featuring Anson Funderburgh and Mike Morgan), Double Trouble, Susan Tedeschi, and The Moeller Brothers. He has also made his mark with a series of acclaimed solo albums. Reflecting on his musical journey, Pittman shares: "Since releasing my first album in 1998, I've traveled a road full of twists, turns, and memorable stops. Along the way, you meet people who recognize something in you that you might not even see in yourself. I've been fortunate to encounter many such individuals who encouraged me to keep using the gift God gave me. One of those people is Erkan Özdemir, a talented bass player who has raised two remarkable musicians, Kenan and Levent. This is our second collaboration on an album, recorded at Hansahaus Studios in Bonn, Germany, with the skilled engineer Klaus Genuit, who also happens to run an excellent coffee bar there. We were thrilled to feature The Texas Horns—Mark ‘Kaz’ Kazanoff and John Mills—on 'Blame it on Me.' Roel Spanjers contributed outstanding piano and accordion parts on 'Heartbreak in East Dallas,' while Simon Oslender delivered fantastic organ work on several tracks. I think this album might just be my favorite yet. Hope you enjoy it!" Tracks: 01. Until The Time Is Right 02. Damage Is Done 03. Add It Up 04. Heartbreak in East Dallas 05. Blame It On Me 06.
