​De legendarische Amerikaanse zanger Frankie Valli treedt op zaterdag 11 juli met The Four Seasons voor een allereerste keer in ons land op met een concert in Kursaal Oostende.
 
In 1990 werden The Four Seasons opgenomen in de Rock and Roll Hall of Fame en in 1999 volgde de Vocal Group Hall of Fame. Bovenop deze prijzen werd er ook een musical gemaakt over de levens van Frankie and The Four Seasons, getiteld Jersey Boys. De musical won maar liefst zes Tony Awards en is ondertussen uitgegroeid tot een Broadwayklassieker. In 2014 werd het leven van Frankie Valli verfilmd door Clint Eastwood en kreeg de gelijknamige titel Jersey Boys.
 
Frankie Valli onderscheidde zich van andere zangers uit zijn tijd door een unieke falsettostem. Met The Four Seasons haalde hij 29 hitsingles binnen en als soloartiest voegde hij er nog negen toe. Met meer dan 175 miljoen verkochte platen bewijzen deze heren dat zij hun plaats in de muziekgeschiedenis verdiend hebben.

​New wave icons, and one of the most influential electronic musical acts of all-time, Missing Persons featuring original vocalist Dale Bozzio, are readying a new studio album. Bozzio's inimitable vocal style, as heard on such classics as “Words,” “Destination Unknown,” and “Walking In L.A.,” is the heart and soul of Dreaming, the astonishing new studio album of cover songs and original tunes. Produced by the multi-talented Adam Hamilton (David Hasselhoff / William Shatner), Dreaming offers lush keyboards and atmospheric interpretations of some classic rock/pop songs by fellow '80s legends The Cars, Joy Division, and The The as well as The Rolling Stones, The Mama's & The Papas, and more - all brought to life by Bozzio's unmistakable voice. The album also offers 3 original compositions - the dark and moody “Lipstick,” the haunting title track “Dreaming” and the compelling “This Time” - that demonstrate Missing Persons' relevance to the modern electronic scene.

Sammy Brue oogste al veel succes met zijn ep’s en het debuut-album “I Am Nice” (2017) op New West Records. De nodige lofuitingen volgden als ‘Americana prodigy’, ‘wunderkind’ en ‘one of the teenagers shaping pop’. He deelde ook al podia met artiesten als Lucinda Williams, Lukas Nelson, Hayes Carll, Michael Kiwanuka en Justin Townes Earl.
Ondanks zijn nog zeer jonge leeftijd komt hij nu via “Crash Test Kid” met een zeer volwassen geluid voor de dag. Het toont zijn veelzijdigheid; ‘he’s truly coming into his own with a collection of songs that are stylistically diverse, musically dynamic and emotionally unguarded. He often gets at the heart of a matter or melody with just a simple but insightful turn of phrase or cleverly picked guitar, mixing alt folkcountry, indie pop and alternative (punk)rock’.

CHRISTONE "KINGFISH" INGRAM USA
In elke generatie komt er wel eens een bluesartiest voorbij die ons onderdompelt in de beste bluestraditie en het genre op zijn grondvesten doet daveren. Christone Ingram werd geboren in de Mississippi Delta met de gave van een uitzonderlijk gitaarspel. Deze 20-jarige gitarist, vocalist en songwriter is een ‘lijvige’ verschijning en maakte naam en faam in de Mississippi bluesscene.

Hij klinkt als de helden die hij als tiener aanbad: B.B. King, Stevie Ray Vaughan en Buddy Guy. Dit levend fenomeen ontdekte al op zeer jonge leeftijd zijn roots. De muziek van de zwarte slaven liet hem nooit meer los. Hoe dieper hij in de blues graaft, hoe gevarieerder die wordt. Met beide ogen op de toekomst en de klassieke blues in zijn bloed, is Ingram klaar om de muziekwereld te veroveren, getuige zijn debuutalbum, ‘KINGFISH’, een plaat vol met doordringende gitaren en hese, gepassioneerde zang.

Samengevat: een stokoude ziel in een nieuwerwets lichaam.

Legendarische experimentele Belgische band "Aksak Maboul" keert terug met "Tout a une fin" ("Everything Ends"), een  nieuwe single vergezeld van een duizelingwekkende videoclip !
 
Het liedje verschijnt tevens als digitale 2 track single en drijft op een unieke mix van elektronische, jazz-, rock- en orkestrale elementen.  Deze 2-track single luidt de release in van Aksak Maboul's nieuwe dubbel LP 'Figures' (uit op 15 mei 2020),  het eerste echt nieuwe album in decennia van de legendarische experimentele popband. Deze twee nummers zijn edits/remixes, die in deze versie niet op het album zullen verschijnen.
 
Tout a une fin (korte versie) ('Everything ends')
Een strakke track van 3 minuten met een zangpartij (waarin Véronique Vincent's stem kronkelende variaties uitvoert op de woorden van de titel) en een gedeelte met elektronische en orkestrale instrumentatie die uitmondt in een wilde crescendo-finale.
 
Blaue Bleistift
Dit nummer legt de meer elektronische en experimentele aspecten van het nieuwe albuù bloot, met zijn kriskras doorlopende keyboardlijnen en geluidscollages. Soort van een mysterieuze, sfeervolle neef van Aksak Maboul's klassieker 'Saure Gurke'?
 
Tout a une fin komt op 26 februari ook uit in de vorm van een duizelingwekkende videoclip geregisseerd door de jonge animator/collagist Yoann Stehr (wiens recente werk korte films voor modeontwerper Paul Smith bevat).
 
Net als het album 'Figures' is deze single geschreven en geproduceerd door Marc Hollander & Véronique Vincent (respectievelijk oprichter van Aksak Maboul & Crammed Discs, en voormalig vocalist bij The Honeymoon Killers).

Herbie Hancock is een icoon van de jazz. Nummers als "Cantaloupe Island”, "Watermelon Man” en "Chameleon” zijn onderdeel van ons collectief geheugen. Gedurende 6 decennia staat hij vooraan als een visionaire artiest die genres overstijgt en generaties muzikanten inspireert.
In 1960 werd hij ontdekt door trompettist Donald Byrd. Vervolgens tekent hij bij Blue Note en wordt hij lid van het Miles Davis Quintet samen met Wayne Shorter, Ron Carter en Tony Williams. De solocarrière van Hancock neemt tegelijk een hoge vlucht met albums als "Maiden Voyage”, "Empyrean Isles” en "Speak like a child” en de soundtrack van "Blow Up” van cineast Michelangelo Antonioni. Hij zou zich later nog meer toeleggen op de cinema en zelf beginnen acteren, zie o.m. de film "Round Midnight”.

In de jaren ’70 en ’80 gaat hij een andere richting uit. Zijn nieuwe band The Headhunters experimenteert met funk, fusion en rock. Hij wordt een populaire artiest die stadions vult en hits heeft in de charts. 'Hang up your hang ups’ en 'God make me funky’ zullen later overvloedig gesampeld worden in hiphop en dance. Samen met producer Bill Laswell maakt hij "Future Shock”, een excursie naar de electro met als bekendste nummer "Rock it”.

Herbie Hancock blijft nieuwe wegen inslaan. Hij introduceert trompettist Wynton Marsalis, neemt op voor Verve Records, brengt een hommage uit aan Joni Mitchell en speelt samen met Leonard Cohen, Sting, Stevie Wonder, Chick Corea, Carlos Santana, Damien Rice, ... Hij wordt zeer terecht veel gelauwerd en geëerd: 'Unesco goodwill ambassador’, een 'Grammy lifetime achievement award’, 'Commandeur des art et des lettres’, ...
Nu, in zijn 6de decennium als toonaangevend muzikant, bevindt Hancock zich nog altijd in de frontlijn van cultuur, kunst, muziek en technologie. Een groot artiest, die we met veel trots verwelkomen in OLT Rivierenhof.

Folkrock god, guitar guru, passion and religious prophet
Als we de Los Angeles Times mogen geloven komt "the finest rock songwriter after Dylan and the best electric guitarist since Hendrix” naar België. Op 21 juni 2020 komt de 70-jarige singer songwriter en gitaarvirtuoos Richard Thompson naar het OLT Rivierenhof voor een soloconcert in een intieme setting.
​
Richard Thompson mag dan zeer terecht door Rolling Stone Magazine tot de 20 beste gitaristen aller tijden gerekend worden, voor hem zijn zijn liedjes het allerbelangrijkste. "Een gitaarsolo of -riff moet altijd ten dienste van het nummer staan of in het verlengde liggen van de verhaal - of melodielijn”. Thompson is dan ook in de eerste plaats een scherpe en intelligente observator.

Zijn track record beslaat 50 jaar, vanaf einde jaren ’60 met het befaamde Fairport Convention waarmee hij aan de wieg van de folkrock stond tot zijn laatste plaat ’13 Rivers’. Mijlpalen in zijn carrière: de platen met zijn eerste vrouw Linda Thompson (zie o.m. 'I Want to see the bright lights tonight’), zijn talrijke schitterende concerten en nummers als 'I feel so Good’, 'I Misunderstood’ en '1952 Vincent Black Lightning’ uit succesplaat 'Rumor and Sigh’.

Thompson kreeg van de Americana Music Association in Nashville een Lifetime Achievement Award. Onder andere Robert Plant, Don Henley en Elvis Costello hebben zijn muziek gecoverd. Zijn veelzijdigheid en virtuositeit wordt onderstreept door de vele samenwerkingen met o.m. Bonnie Raitt, Nick Drake, Sandy Denny, Loudon Wainwright III en David Thomas (Pere Ubu).

Gedreven door zijn liefde voor het schrijven van nummers en zijn adembenemende gitaarspel is Thompson uitgegroeid tot een waar icoon. In 2013 al eens te zien in Rivierenhof en nu verwelkomen we hem zeer graag terug.

Deep Purple announces title and release date of their brand-new studio album. “Whoosh!” follows their worldwide chart-topping albums “inFinite” (2017) and “NOW What?!” (2013). After the suspense and speculations among the fan community created by cryptic messages and interviews by singer Ian Gillan during last December, the band finally confirms the release of their 21st studio album on June 12th, 2020 on earMUSIC.

 
For the third time, Deep Purple joins forces with producer Bob Ezrin, who invited the band to Nashville to write and record new songs. Together they created the most versatile album in their collaboration.
 
Deep Purple “stretched out in all directions” without any limitation, letting their creativity go. “Deep Purple is putting the Deep back into Purple” was the half-joking motto in the studio after the first songs made it clear that Ezrin and Purple were on their path to creating an album pushing the boundaries of time, while voicing their resentment about the current situation of the world and addressing all generations.

Matt Watts is een Amerikaanse songwriter en performer uit Montana die momenteel in Brussel woont. Hij is de zoon van een katholieke priester en moeder met Cherokee-roots in de Carolinas.
​
Hij begon voor het eerst het elektrische orgel te gebruiken om liedjes te schrijven en deze ook op cassettes op te nemen toen hij 11 jaar oud was. Toen hij 13 was, kocht zijn moeder hem een ​​elektrische gitaar van een pandjeshuis in South Carolina. Met een karaoke-apparaat als versterker begon hij te schrijven en op te treden en nam hij zijn eerste album op 15-jarige leeftijd op in een kleine studio achter Rod's Music & Sound in Great Falls, Montana.
Naast het schrijven en uitvoeren van zijn eigen muziek, begon hij op te treden en te touren met verschillende lokale Punk & Noise-bands.
In 2007, toen hij 19 was, verhuisde hij naar Antwerpen, België. Sinds zijn aankomst heeft hij gewerkt en opgetreden met Zita Swoon Group (productie The Ballad of Erol Klof (2016), werd een roterend lid van de I H8 Camera van Rudy Trouvé, vertaalde Simon Allemeersch en het veelgeprezen stuk SCREEN van Rudy Trouvé in het Engels, vormden The Calicos (nu Humo's Rock Rally winnaars onder Quinten Vermaelen) als een eenmalige begeleidingsband, werkte samen met vele artiesten en songwriters (waaronder Emillina Torini & The Colorist, The Love Substitutes, ..) en tourde en bracht verschillende veelgeprezen soloalbums uit.

Zijn vorige album "How Different It Was When You Were There" (Starman Records, 2017 - **** De Standaard) werd geproduceerd door Nicolas Rombouts (ex-Dez Mona) en bevatte gastoptredens van Nathalie Delcroix en Bjorn Eriksson (Eriksson Delcroix ) en Stef Kamil Carlens (ex-dEUS, Zita Swoon).
De eerste single ‘Joanne’ werd door Radio 1's Wonderland-programma vermeld als een van de ‘Mooiste liedjes van 2017’. De tweede single 'Many A Friend Too Kind', een pakkend duet met Stef Kamil Carlens, werd song van de week in HUMO.
Zijn soloproject is sinds dan een collectief van vele artiesten geworden en elk album wordt getypeerd door een andere collaboratie rond de songwriting van Watts. 2019 bracht opnieuw veel liveshows in België en Nederland en zijn Antwerpse label Starman Records bracht 2 singles uit: 'Rachel' featuring Nathalie Delcroix en 'I Don't Know Where My Baby Is' met de Belgische Guido Belcanto, een Engelse vertaling van diens lied 'Ik Weet Niet Waar Mijn Meisje Is'.
Zijn aanstaande 5e album Queens zal begin 2020 worden uitgebracht en wordt geproduceerd door Stef Kamil Carlens en Nicolas Rombouts en bevat leden (en ex) van veelgeprezen Belgische bands zoals Moondog Jr, Zita Swoon, Eriksson Delcroix, Dez Mona, Guido Belcanto en KING DICK. Het album bevat gastbijdragen van Amerikaanse artiesten ‘Searching For The Wrong Eyed Jesus’ Jim White en Sandy Dillon.

“Queen's bar was een kleine bar in de buurt van Sint-Gillis in Brussel die ik vaak bezocht tijdens het schrijven van dit album. Ik herinner me dat de eigenaren vroeger elke avond verjaardagsfeestjes en vlaggen ophingen in afwachting van hun vele wilde stamgasten. Op een gegeven moment begon ik zelfs te geloven dat het allemaal voor mij was. Ik maakte vaak lange wandelingen terug naar mijn appartement in het Noorden in de vroege ochtend als weerspiegeling van mijn nachten daar. Ik geef toe, meestal omdat ik te blut was om een ​​taxi te betalen. De nummers zijn gecentreerd rond mijn ervaringen in Brussel met bepaalde mensen. Iedereen hier komt ergens vandaan en iedereen hier heeft een verhaal en zoals je vaak doet, werd ik een deel van hen en zij van mij. Liedjes over vrienden die al lang verdwenen zijn, geliefden, dansers, junkies, ... Ik wilde ze allemaal schrijven en dat deed ik.

​Singer Duffy abruptly left the spotlight several years ago, and she’s revealing the heartbreaking reason why.
“You can only imagine the amount of times I thought about writing this. The way I would write it, how I would feel thereafter. Well, not entirely sure why now is the right time, and what it is that feels exciting and liberating for me to talk. I cannot explain it. Many of you wonder what happened to me, where did I disappear to and why,” Duffy began her statement on her new Instagram account.
“A journalist contacted me, he found a way to reach me and I told him everything this past summer. He was kind and it felt so amazing to finally speak. The truth is, and please trust me I am ok and safe now, I was raped and drugged and held captive over some days. Of course I survived. The recovery took time. There’s no light way to say it. But I can tell you in the last decade, the thousands and thousands of days I committed to wanting to feel the sunshine in my heart again, the sun does now shine,” Duffy continued.
She added, “You wonder why I did not choose to use my voice to express my pain? I did not want to show the world the sadness in my eyes. I asked myself, how can I sing from the heart if it is broken? And slowly it unbroke. In the following weeks I will be posting a spoken interview. If you have any questions I would like to answer them, in the spoken interview, if I can. I have a sacred love and sincere appreciation for your kindness over the years. You have been friends. I want to thank you for that x.”
Our thoughts are with Duffy and her immense bravery for coming forward to tell her story. Duffy did not reveal any further details at this time, but we can expect more information in the coming weeks.
Duffy, now 35, released two studio albums: 2008′s Rockferry and 2010′s Endlessly. She’s known for her 2008 hit “Mercy.” 

Suikerrock voegt met een molenwiekende gitaaraanslag het Ierse Therapy? toe aan het programma van vrijdag 31 juli, de Throwback dag met alleen bands uit de voorbije 33 jaar Suikerrock.

België heeft Therapy? steeds aan de borst gedrukt. Sinds 1994, het jaar van doorbraakalbum ‘Troublegum’ stonden ze al een indrukwekkende vijf!! keer op Rock Werchter, en scoorden ze culthits met ‘Die Laughin’, ‘Nowhere’, ‘Trigger inside’ en uiteraard met de cover ‘Diane’.
Therapy? bestaat dit jaar exact dertig jaar en viert dat met het compilation album ‘Greatest Hits (2020 versions)’ dat op 13 maart verschijnt. Geen doorsnee verzamelalbum, maar hun hits heropgenomen in de legendarische Abbey Road Studios met producer Chris Sheldon (Pixies, Radiohead, Foo Fighters…) en een bijdrage van James Dean Bradfield van Manic Street Preachers.

Op vrijdag 31 juli komt Therapy? geen verjaardagskaarsjes uitblazen maar, hun reputatie indachtig, de hele verjaardagstaart aan gort slaan!
De Suikerrock ‘Farewell Edition’ zal plaatsvinden van donderdag 30 juli tot en met zondag 2 augustus. Op donderdag 30 juli met een ‘Farewell Party’ op de Grote Markt. Vanaf vrijdag 31 juli start het festival in het volledige stadscentrum, met de gekende elementen zoals de Foodtruck Corner, DJ-Stage en Acoustic Stage. Ook op die dag een Throwback Line-Up op het hoofdpodium, met alleen groepen die al eens bij ons op de planken stonden in de voorbije 33 jaar. Zaterdag en zondag blijven twee ‘normale’ Suikerrock dagen, met op zondag de traditionele Family Day.

In ‘Goin’ down to Missy Sippy’ nemen muzikanten Tim De Graeve en Guy Verlinde ons samen met uitbaatster Marie Follebout mee in het verhaal van de opkomst en bloei van de hedendaagse Gentse bluesscene.
In deze documentaire zijn we getuige van hoe een combinatie van hartstocht voor oude en hedendaagse bluesmuziek, artistiek vakmanschap, maar ook slim en gedurfd ondernemerschap uitmondt in de warme en vibrerende bluesclub ‘Missy Sippy’.
De clubconcerten, de elektrische en akoestische bluesjams, lindyhopavonden en stomende optredens tijdens de Gentse Feesten, maken van Missy Sippy één van de meest swingende Europese bluesclubs. Jonge en oudere bluesfans komen van heinde en ver afgezakt om te genieten van de blues, van de hechte gemeenschap van vrienden en fans en van veelbelovende jonge muzikanten die er hun eerste stappen op het podium zetten.
In tegenstelling tot andere podiumkunstenaars, krijgen muziekmakers en bluesmuzikanten weinig tot geen overheidssteun. Om van hun passie hun beroep te maken moeten muzikanten als Tiny Legs Tim en Guy Verlinde niet alleen straffe muziek maken, ze worden ook uitgedaagd om dag na dag slim en toegewijd te ondernemen. Hetzelfde geldt voor wie vandaag een club of café wil runnen. Daarom wordt in ‘Goin’ down to Missy Sippy’ ook ingezoomd op de passie en hartstocht van Marie en Jelle, de zaakvoerders van Missy Sippy.
Dominique Willaert – werkzaam in Victoria Deluxe – nam vanuit z’n bewondering voor de fijne groep muzikanten en uitbaters van Missy Sippy het initiatief om samen met cineast Brecht Vanhoenacker en collega-monteur Steve Shorrock deze documentaire te draaien. Ze deden dit met een minimum aan middelen, maar een maximum aan passie.
‘Goin’ Down To Missy Sippy’ kadert in het jubileumjaar 2020, waarin Missy Sippy 5 kaarsjes uitblaast en de Gentse bluesscene 10 jaar bestaat. Die verjaardagen vieren we uitgebreid met de release van het eerste album van de MISSY SIPPY ALL STARS, dat live wordt voorgesteld in Missy Sippy op vrijdag 6 maart 2020. Meteen ook het startschot voor het feestelijke verjaardagsweekend!


5 jaar Missy Sippy, 10 jaar Gentse Blues scene.
 
5 jaar geleden, op 6 maart 2015 knalde Missy Sippy van start met een feest van jewelste om daarna
de voet niet meer van het gaspedaal te halen. De maandelijkse blues jams, local heroes concerten,
clubconcerten met internationale kleppers, lindyhopavonden, burlesque shows en een heus festival
tijdens de Gentse Feesten, zorgen voor een constante stroom aan kwaliteitsvolle avonden en de
noodzakelijke frisse wind die blues- en rootsmuziek uit de vergeethoek haalt en opnieuw sexy maakt
bij jonge generaties. Sindsdien is Missy Sippy de plaats bij uitstek waar muzikanten met een hart voor
blues en roots elkaar ontmoeten, samen jammen, bandjes vormen en een persoonlijke én artistieke
ontwikkeling doormaken.
 
Toen Gentse bluesmuzikanten Tiny Legs Tim en Guy Verlinde 10 jaar geleden door een
gemeenschappelijke vriend aan elkaar werden voorgesteld, kon geen van beiden vermoeden, dat dit
de spreekwoordelijke oerknal zou blijken waaruit de levendige Gentse Blues & Roots scene -met als
thuisbasis Missy Sippy- zou ontstaan. De eerste jaren van deze evolutie en de cruciale ontmoetingen
-niet in het minst die met eigenaars Marie Follebout en Jelle de Boevé- die hebben geleid tot de
eerste echte bluesclub in Gent, zijn op sublieme wijze gedocumenteerd in de film ‘Going Down To
Missy Sippy’ (Een productie van Dominique Willaert, 2020)
 
Vorige winter trok Tiny Legs Tim met een 20-tal van deze huismuzikanten de studio in om de muzikale
identiteit van de eerste 5 jaar Missy Sippy op plaat vast te leggen. De 12 nummers op MISSY SIPPY
ALL STARS VOL. I zijn een illustratie van de rijkdom aan jong talent, diversiteit en collegialiteit die zo
eigen zijn aan de Gentse bluesscene. De opnames werden opgevat volgens het principe van de blues
jams: 2 vaste ritmesecties werden gecombineerd met alternerende bezettingen. Om de spontaniteit te
garanderen, werd alles live ingespeeld en op band opgenomen met analoge apparatuur. Het resultaat
is een veelkleurig album dat de essentie van ‘samen muziek maken’ weet te vatten, een staalkaart van
de kwaliteit en diversiteit die duidelijk maakt waarom Missy Sippy vandaag het epicentrum is van de
Belgische blues- en rootsmuziek.
 
Op vrijdag 6 maart 2020, exact 5 jaar na de opening, stellen de MISSY SIPPY ALL STARS het album
live voor in Missy Sippy. Meteen ook het startschot voor het feestelijke verjaardagweekend.

Muzikale orkaan! Energetisch, instrumentaal trio met topmuzikanten Patrick Steenaerts (gitaar), Hans Mullens (bas) en Geert Roelofs (drums). Jazz, rock, experiment,... steeds met respect voor melodie en compositie. Voor fans van Marc Ribot en Arto Lindsay. De naam Kameel werd ontleend aan een compositie van Misha Mengelberg: "Met Welgemeende Groet Van De Kameel”.

Muzikale orkaan Kameel is het energieke trio topmuzikanten Patrick Steenaerts (gitaar), Hans Mullens (bas) en Geert Roelofs (drums). Op 28 februari 2020 verschijnt hun debuutalbum 'Barkas' (label: Poplar). Een zeer eigenzinnige en bijzonder dynamische debuutplaat met instrumentale composities vol experiment en mooie melodieën. Soms dansbaar, dan weer grillig, scheef of hoekig,
maar altijd zonder compromissen.

‘Barkas’ klinkt donker, bevreemdend, dreigend, mysterieus, filmisch, soms humoristisch, maar ook in your face, de ene keer groovy dan weer free... Jazz voor punks! Invloeden halen ze uit progressive rock, jazz, psychedelica, avant-garde pop, ambient en blues. Kortom: genre bending!

'Barkas' werd in de zomer van 2019 opgenomen in de GAM Studios met producer Micha Volders (producer van oa Whispering Sons, The Sore Losers, The Germans, Gruppo Di Pawlowski …) achter de knoppen. Voor het artwork zorgde Onno Hesselink in samenwerking met fotograaf Alex Salinas.

Voor fans van Marc Ribot, Arto Lindsay, Deerhoof, John Zorn, Mary Halvorson, Dans Dans, Robert Fripp, Battles, Frank Zappa, Gabor Szabo...

Live maakte het trio al indruk als support van Marc Ribot's Ceramic Dog (Ribot is fan!) en op Leuven Jazz Festival, Diestortion, Jazz op Zondag (STUK) en Yellowstock Festival. In 2020 is Kameel ‘artist in residence’ in De Wolwinkel in Geel.

​Since “The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon” debuted in February 2014, the opening “Hey Hey Hey Hey” riff by house band The Roots has become one of television’s most infectious and explosive earworms ever. Even if you’ve never watched a full episode, it’s probably part of your subconscious musical mind. It worked its irrepressible, horn fired magic on Dr. Dave, and now, after 25 years and a constant stream of radio hits, the veteran guitarist – leading his powerhouse SoCal based ensemble       Dr. Dave & The HouseCall Band - has turned that four-word musical phrase into wildly exciting crossover instrumental gold on their latest single. “Hey Hey Hey Hey” is the fourth release from the group’s critically acclaimed 2018 album Midnight Daydream.
 
Produced by Dr. Dave and arranged by Dr. Dave and his longtime saxophonist John Rekevics, the blues, jazz, funk and rock driven track has a sexy flair to it with the seductive and soulful female vocalists Stellita Porter and Jackie Bonaparte, who open with the hook and sing it several times throughout. The arrangement also features a Steely Dan-styled rhythmic flow in the middle, plus tight, dynamic horn section elements (arranged by Rekevics) and a tasty high- octane jazz/R&B “tradin’ fours” conversation between Dr. Dave and Rekevics. Larry Logan was brought into the studio to play the organ parts and especially the freewheeling organ solo.  
 
The song is credited to the riff’s writers Tarik Trotter, Kirk Douglas, Karl B. Jenkins, Ahmir K. Thompson, Owen Biddle, James Jason Poyser, Malik Smart, Ricky Nichols and The Roots. With a multi-genre appeal not only to fans of “The Tonight Show” and The Roots, but also to those who love rock, R&B/funk and contemporary/smooth urban jazz, “Hey Hey Hey Hey” is destined for great crossover success at radio. 
 
“I’ve enjoyed watching ‘The Tonight Show’ and always felt the ‘Hey Hey Hey Hey’ riff was a catchy hook with a lot of energy – something I never get tired of hearing,” says Dr. Dave. “As I heard it more, I realized it was just intro music and not an official song, so I thought, why not get together with my band and develop it into one?
 
“Right off the bat,” he adds, “I knew I wanted to give it a little more sex appeal by adding the female vocals, and then we collectively and individually built on the energy of that with powerful grooves and solo action, John’s great horn arrangements and my back and forth guitar and sax section with him towards the end. Though I’m the producer, working on this track was a true ensemble effort where four heads sharing fresh ideas were definitely better than one. The same way as George Benson once turned Leon Russell’s ‘This Masquerade’ into a jazz standard, I feel the arrangement here is everything and takes what the Roots created to a whole new dimension. Most of all it’s a fun track performed with a lot of passion.”
 
Dr. Dave & The HouseCall Band have been on a roll with the three previous singles released from Midnight Daydream. The first, “Sexy Cindy,” ranked #1 for Smooth Jazz Guitar songs in the U.S. on Radio Guitar One’s Top 20 in June 2018. The title track “Midnight Daydream” earned a multitude of accolades: #1 most added on the Radio Wave Internet Airplay Chart; #5 on the SmoothJazz.com Radar Chart; #9 on the SmoothJazz.com Top 100 Indie Chart and #14 on the SmoothJazz.com Top 100. A third single “Cabo Time” reached #19 on the SmoothJazz.com Radar chart. Dr. Dave & The HouseCall Band also received a “Most Increased Play” designation last September on the Groove Jazz Music Chart.
 
Longtime fans of contemporary jazz may remember Dr. Dave from his initial success as a recording artist in the mid-90s, when his albums I Like It Like That, Smooth and Cruisin’ made big splashes in the early days of the Smooth Jazz format. Smooth featured performances from jazz greats Freddie Hubbard, Ernie Watts and the late Fattburger members Carl Evans, Jr. and Hollis Gentry. Cruisin’ had sax and flute legends, brothers Ronnie and Hubert Laws.
 
After that initial run, Dr. Dave switched gears and moved for a time to Brazil, where he performed for several years. He got back in the recording groove, and geared up by releasing two compilations of earlier material – some of which had never been played on radio. In 2013, he released Love Potion, a collection of romantic songs, which he followed with the perfectly titled The Doctor Is In, full of Dr. Dave’s early up-tempo tracks. The smooth jazz format’s embrace of these recordings inspired Dr. Dave to return to the scene full force with Carefree and have reached even greater musical heights on Midnight Daydream.

De release van de eerste EP, eind februari 2020, gaat gepaard met een eerste, aanstekelijk dansbare single: 'Lipstick Glamgirl' op 31 januari. In de videoclip (gedraaid door Joost Laperre) is een hoofdrol weggelegd voor Zoe Bizoe, wereldkampioene Burlesque.

Een pompende baslijn, stuwende drums en catchy gitaarriffs worden aangedikt met de verrassende vocals van brulboei Luc Dufourmont.  Alles wat IDIOTS net zo goed maakt. Zelfs David Bowie komt even om de hoek kijken en knikt goedkeurend.

‘Lonewolf’ is dan weer een knallende, funky instrumental die een achtervolgingsscène op uw netvlies tovert. Stilstaan is geen optie. ‘Monkey in the driver’s seat’ kenmerkt zich door de slappende bass van Dick en een apocalyptisch einde. Het  vuilbekkende ‘Bai Chang’ is voorzien van een Franstalige tekst en flitst ons terug naar de discojaren. 'Chapter 1' sluit  af met het smerige ‘The Office’:  bruut geweld maakt een einde aan een mooie lentedag.

IDIOTS - 'Chapter 1 - SPRING' = Vijf retestrakke songs, gebracht met de nodige dosis zweterige, punk-gedreven energie.
De opnames vonden plaats in de  Template Studio onder het goedkeurend oog van Maarten Viaene.

Vervolgens stond de zeer gezonde edoch lekkere wacko Jannes Van Rossom in voor de mix.

IDIOTS line-up 2020 = Luc Dufourmont (vocals), Dick Descamps (bas), Wouter Spaens (gitaar) en de nieuwe drummer Minco de Bruin.

De oerschreeuw van IDIOTS - Move your feet to the beat, yeah! - blijft nog steeds gelden. Dit brengt ons terug naar 2013, het jaar van de release van hun eerste, zeer sterke, titelloze album dat verscheen via WasteMyRecords.
Op album ‘II’ uit 2016 (WasteMyRecords) bleven IDIOTS het unieke recept van smerige rock en snedige punk trouw onder de waarnemende ogen en oren van het producersteam Jo Francken en Pieterjan Maertens.
Later volgden nog 2 releases: de exclusieve EP 'The Stoidi Sessions',  uitgebracht op vinyl op Record Store Day 2017 via WasteMyRecords en 'Ma guitare', een split-7inch met Ugly Papas (Mayway Records, 2018).
In 2020 schrijven IDIOTS op eigen kracht een nieuw hoofdstuk. ‘The Never Ending Farewell Tour’ kan beginnen. Hoezo? Gaat Dufourmont op pensioen?

Willie Nelson has announced details of his 70th studio album.
‘First Rose Of Spring’ will come out on April 24 and is being previewed by its title track.
The album will see Nelson interpreting songs by the likes of Toby Keith, Chris Stapleton and Billy Joe Shaver alongside a series of co-written originals.

​'First Rose Of Spring’ follows last year’s ‘Ride Me Back Home’ album. In a three-star review of the 2019 full-length, NME’s Leonie Cooper wrote: “The country legend’s 69th album – yes, really – finds him in absolute sweetheart mode, but unafraid to get a little bit political.”

“In the grand country tradition, cover versions make up half of ‘Ride Me Back Home’, but the new Nelson songs are just as chilled as his languid piano-driven take on Guy Clark’s ‘My Favourite Picture Of You’.
“Even his ‘I’m getting on a bit and might not be around much longer’ song, ‘Come On Time’, is a relaxed, jaunty look down the barrel of humanity. A delight, right?”

At the end of last year, Willie Nelson revealed that he’s stopped smoking weed after it nearly “killed” him.
“I have abused my lungs quite a bit in the past, so breathing is a little more difficult these days and I have to be careful,” he said.
Back in 2018, the country legend cancelled a number of live shows due to ill health. Nelson had been suffering breathing problems on stage.

​ANDRÉ HAZES
​Hoe ver valt zo een appel nu eigenlijk van een boom? Vraag het anders eens aan Axel Merckx, Jordi Cruijff of Julian Lennon. Arme zielen die altijd in de schaduw van de grote boom zijn blijven liggen. Dat kunt u alvast niet zeggen van André Hazes jr, de Nederlander die tegenwoordig meer clickbait veroorzaakt dan een gemiddelde Kardashian. Misschien zat u de voorbije jaren op retraite in een klooster in Mauritanië, maar Andre Hazes is de jongste zoon van, we verzinnen dit niet, Andre Hazes. Vader Andre, de op een na – Johan, weet u wel – grootste Amsterdammer aller tijden, was ook in Vlaanderen mateloos populair. Wanneer de man pakweg De Kuip deed vollopen vertrok steevast een colonne Vlamingen richting Rotterdam.

Voor de zoon moet u op zaterdag 8 augustus zo ver niet reizen, de jongen komt die dag gewoon naar de parking der parkings, namelijk die waarop u met tienduizenden anderen ook dit jaar in augustus weer ten volle geniet van goeie muziek. Want muziek, daar is het bij junior toch vooral om te doen. ‘Leef’, dat is een moderne klassieker van het Nederlandstalige lied. Maar er is meer, veel meer. Zes platen heeft hij op zijn conto en die zorgen er al jaren voor dat hij dag in dag uit op de Nederlandse radio te horen is.  Junior is bezig aan de verovering van Vlaanderen en begin augustus is hij van plan om een overvol parkeerterrein in Lokeren uit zijn hand te doen eten.   Een kleine 200 kilometer, zo ver valt de appel dat weekend van de Amsterdamse boom.  Wacht vooral te lang om tickets te bestellen indien u graag gefrustreerd thuis zit terwijl uw halve vriendenkring op de Grote Kaai de avond van het jaar beleeft.

Op vrijdag 10 juli mag het Zottegemse festivalpubliek zich alvast opmaken voor optredens van oa.  Clouseau, De Kreuners en Goldband. Drie jaar na ‘Clouseau Danst’ is Clouseau helemaal terug, en hoe! Met hun dertiende plaat ‘Tweesprong’ (meteen goed voor goud) en een uitverkochte theatertournee in Vlaanderen. Een nieuwe plaat en een resem hits: de perfecte combinatie voor een zwoele zomeravond in Zottegem. Mis hen niet want slechts een beperkt aantal festivals mogen hen verwelkomen in 2020.
 
De broertjes Wauters krijgen alvast het muzikale gezelschap van De Kreuners. Voor Walter Grootaers was het twee jaar geleden een geval van ‘grote goesting’. De comeback van De Kreuners was er muzikaal boenk op en vooral: ze maken nog steeds hun staalharde live-reputatie waar.
 
Ook het energieke Goldband is deze zomer te zien in Zottegem. Zelf noemen ze het ‘Haagse Markt-House meets bouwmarkt-pop’. Hun nieuwe single ‘Alles Kapot’ schopte het tot catch of the day op Studio Brussel en ze hebben een killer live-reputatie. Een must-see op vrijdag 10 juli.

Op zaterdag 11 juli zakken Zwangere Guy en GOOSE Non Stop af naar Zottegem. Zwangere Guy is ongetwijfeld de muzikale revelatie van het moment. Zo goed als elk record ging eraan: eerste goud voor een nederlandse hiphopplaat, eerste nederlandstalig hiphop number one in de charts, vijf uitverkochte AB’s  en 5 topplaten in minder dan vijf jaar tijd. Dit wordt ongetwijfeld het concert om naar uit te kijken deze festivalzomer. Hij zal het komende jaar maar op enkele grotere festivals in België te zien zijn, Rock Zottegem hoort bij de gelukkigen !
 
Ook Goose komt een feestje bouwen op ROCK ZOTTEGEM 2020. En dat doen ze non stop. Een non-stop set waarbij ze al hun hits remixen, nieuw leven inblazen en via synthesizers en drum computers opnieuw in elkaar zetten. Laat je zaterdag 11 juli meevoeren door de meesters van de Belgische dansvloer.

ABOUT DESTINY MALIBU: A THOUGHTFUL VOICE
Destiny still remembers the day, at the age of five, she donned headphones that were nearly as big as her head, and stood in front of a microphone for the first time. The studio was already a warm and familiar place.  But this was new.  
So began the journey of a girl named Destiny, who seems to have been, yes, destined to become a musical artist.  Destiny’s job was to recite the pledge of allegiance and sing backup for a 911-tribute song being performed by her mother, a recording artist with a successful Latin band. 
That day still resonates in Destiny’s soulful and energetic vocal style.  But though her love affair with music began with a performance, it did not end there.  Her mother saw to it that Destiny understood music at a fundamental level.  As a young teen, Destiny was trained to think in terms of musical and narrative structure when she listened to popular songs.  Her natural creative instincts ignited a love affair with song writing, and it is still the core passion that drives her career.  Her writing talent was evident early, and she won multiple, consecutive songwriting contests as a high school student.
So it was as a songwriter that Destiny’s professional career would begin.  She opted for independent studies in her senior year of high school in order to take a job as a songwriter for Burnett Music Group.  As a writer, Destiny developed a hopeful and uplifting style that reflects her caring and deeply empathetic nature.  She has a keen ear for music, but perhaps an equally keen sense for the quiet suffering of people around her.  This sense of awareness and responsibility has come to inhabit her music.
Perhaps because of her desire to connect with and understand people, Destiny’s tenure as a full-time songwriter would be short-lived.  She soon discovered that her true calling was to “tell my own story,” as she puts it, by performing her music and engaging with an audience.  And equipped with that insight, Destiny Malibu would become the singer/songwriter she is today. 
Since then, Destiny has been writing, recording, and releasing music at a dizzying pace and touring internationally.  She performed an original song in a 2018 appearance on American Idol.  She has performed at such renowned venues as the House of Blues and Viper Room in LA, as well as high profile festivals such as Texas Rockfest and the Florida Music Festival.  She has recently begun to push creative boundaries, experimenting with Spanish-language songs that honor the Latin roots she owes to her mother.  She continues to tour and perform from the roof-top stage of her custom-built, 40-foot tour bus.  And along the way, she has formed partnerships with organizations that fit with her passion to contribute to the mental health and well-being of others, including an initiative with the American Heart Association to spread awareness of heart disease among young people.

Monkees bassist and singer Peter Tork, who played with the group from their earliest days as a made-for-TV band in the Sixites through their recent reunion tours, died Thursday of unknown causes. He was 77. Tork’s sister, Anne Thorkelson confirmed the affable musician’s death to The Washington Post.
“I am told he slipped away peacefully,” his Monkee bandmate Michael Nesmith said in a statement. “Yet, as I write this my tears are awash, and my heart is broken. Even though I am clinging to the idea that we all continue, the pain that attends these passings has no cure.”
The sentiment was echoed by Micky Dolenz, his other surviving bandmate. “There are no words right now,” he said. “Heartbroken over the loss of my Monkee brother Peter Tork.”
Tork played a lovable dimwit on the Monkees TV show, but in real life, he was an accomplished songwriter and guitarist/bassist that played on many of their key recordings and wrote numerous songs for the group, including “Can You Dig It?” and “For Pete’s Sake.” “I was hired to be an actor on a TV show,” he told Rolling Stone in 2016. “The producers did have hopes that something musical would come out of us when they cast the four of us. But if we couldn’t have done the music, they would have been alright with us just making the TV show.”

Born into an underprivileged family and abandoned by her father, Stephanie Hochman’s life played out in some unkind and challenging ways. As a creative outlet, she began an online journal she called “My Luv Notes,” which over the years has blossomed and grown into a wondrous, multi-faceted social media platform rich with her innermost feelings and emotions.  Immersing deeply, you get the feeling that there is a deep reservoir of emotion, passion and pain.  From this wellspring of experience, she brings to life lyrical stories that pull you in with her hypnotic style and sultry tone.  She calls herself a “writer of truths,” which is also revealed in her music. She writes it the way she sees it and feels it.

It’s a warning to the person abusing his/her privilege to “Enjoy me when you have me/Cuz the meter’s runnin’ down”, in the second verse, and true to the spirituality that runs through much of the artist’s work, she addresses the deeper reality that the person’s true help and support will come from above. She sings in the bridge, “Hands together now/You’re gonna’ find your way/Look up high while I, while I walk away.”
 
Set for release March 13, 2020, the track is the first official release from My Luv Notes’ upcoming full-length album, also titled You Don’t Own Me. The album will be the follow-up to her well-received 2019 release Day Late. “On the surface level,” Stephanie says, “the song could be about helping one person, and that dynamic getting out of hand. But in a more universal sense, I’m letting people know that they need to seek the Lord and depend more on themselves than others.”
 
For Stephanie, My Luv Notes is a passion project that has its roots in her classical piano education, which started at age six. Growing up in New York, her mother encouraged her to play and Stephanie, though resistant at first, is now grateful she did. She had somewhat of a rough childhood, and that gives her a sense of empathy for the struggles of urban youth today. While she advanced quickly as a pianist and performed numerous concerts throughout her childhood, Stephanie also loved the sciences and chose to study chiropractic medicine. 
She spent many years equally devoted to building her chiropractic practice and raising and creating a life for her children. “In sharing my music, we share the emotion, the pain, and the struggle, along with the triumph together,” she says. “In that truth, when my words resonate with the listener, I invite them to have a home in my music and my heart forever. As my music develops and I continue to evolve as an artist, I feel like everything is a matter of sending it on its way as on the wings of an angel or a dove carrying a message, and reaching those it is meant to touch.”

Originally from Jamaica, Allocai is delivering a fresh new urban sound from his base in Los Angeles.
Following the huge success of his debut single “Cloud9”, Allocai followed up with the release of “Be My Main” in late August and “Hush” in September. The three very different tracks, each released only one month apart, garnered much attention but the biggest headline of his career thus far has been the “Cloud9” music video which was released in October 2019 and racked up 1.5 million views on YouTube to date. Inevitably this resulted in a dedicated following for the artist in a short period of time.
“Cloud9,” with its dreamy sound and trance like feeling, was created with an intentional message. It is a song about drug abuse and one of the lowest points in Allocai’s young life.

Over the past 45+ years, Stephen Wrench has jammed with, managed, booked and produced shows and done radio promotions for legends and indie greats alike. Though he’s worked with some of the most groundbreaking artists on the planet and performed all over the world on stages in front of thousands and at small-town honky tonks, the St. Augustine, FL based force of nature and creative free agent proudly proclaims he’s “played with everybody and every band but been a member of nothing.” 
Having penned literally hundreds of songs in all genres for years – pop, rock, country, R&B, Americana, you name it – Wrench is shining a spotlight on them and unleashing them to the world. The multi-faceted singer/songwriter’s bold, brilliantly defiant, no holds barred single “Life’s a Sham” is the perfect showcase for his soulful, rootsy vocals and “calls it like he sees it” attitude. Driven by a musical vibe centered on acoustic guitar and dobro, the instantly infectious track has wide crossover potential (Americana, country, rock, pop, AC) and expresses some true-life philosophies that can only come with hard won wisdom and years of hopes and disappointments.

​In the six years since Daytona Beach, FL progressive Americana rockers Greye released their debut album Providence, they’ve captivated thousands via their high octane shows up and down the Atlantic Coast and throughout the Midwest. With a vibe driven by powerhouse classic rock styled vocalist Hannah Summer and her high octane, multi-generational band of badasses, they’ve heard it often from fans: “Gosh, you guys are so lucky to do what you do.” On their latest single, the groovin’ and visceral “Lucky,” they put an ironic spin on people’s perceptions. When the singer hits the chorus, “Oh may, may we all be so lucky, lucky, lucky, just like you,” she’s actually addressing her envy of their innocent viewpoint.  
“In many ways, yes, we are very blessed to create and play music for people,” Hannah says. “Yet they don’t always see what goes on behind the scenes, the hard work it takes to do a gig, the packing and unpacking of equipment, the stresses of travel, and all the things it takes for us to get up and give 100 percent every time out. “Lucky” is the highly anticipated follow up single to Greye’s critically acclaimed fifth album Under The Weather, which was recorded at the legendary FAME Studios in Muscle Shoals, Alabama and mixed by multi-platinum engineer Brian Reeves, who has worked similar magic for everyone from Billy Idol and U2 to Elton John and Miley Cyrus. The album has been in heavy rotation on multiple indie, internet and Top 40 terrestrial radio stations across the U.S. and overseas; its single “What If I” charted on the Netherlands Top 40, hit #4 after eight weeks and has been on the Euro Indie charts for seven months. Reeves is currently mixing tracks for Greye’s upcoming album, which is due to drop later in 2020.
Launched in 2013 when Hannah, guitarist Jett Wolfe and bassist Joshua Reid were still students at Seabreeze High School (alma mater to Greg and Duane Allman and Florida Georgia Line’s Brian Kelley), Greye’s unique chemistry and expansive array of influences are grounded in the fact that its other two members, drummer Ray Grimard and keyboardist/vocalist Ken-e Williams, are veteran musicians who are a whole generation older. 
The band’s origin story is as fascinating and unexpected as it is organic. Hannah met Jett in a guitar class and was assigned to write an original song. Jett knew Josh from other classes, and the three decided to create an acoustic trio called Locals Only in order to enter the school’s annual Battle of the Bands competition. Josh invited Ray, his shop class teacher, to attend the event, where the trio performed the song Hannah had written titled “Grey.” The band finished in the runner up position and Ray – who led a unique double life as a veteran musician and studio engineer and owner – asked Josh if he and his trio would like to come to his facility and jam. 
The following week, all four met at Ray’s studio, curious to see if their magic would translate to a fuller band with a drummer providing the backbeat. Ray’s initial intention was to help them develop a vibe and replace himself with an outside drummer, with him helming the sessions as producer and engineer. Hannah, Jett and Josh insisted he stay on in both capacities, and he brought in his friend Ken-e on keys and backing vocals to add a deeper dimension. 
“What made it work was this eclectic collection of musical influences,” Ray says, “starting with my passion for prog rockers like Yes, Rush and Kansas, the original trio’s folk leanings and Hannah’s penchant for theatrical music – and a voice that’s earned comparisons to Linda Ronstadt and Ann Wilson of Heart. Everyone finds it easier to pigeonhole bands as one thing or another, but what’s made Greye stay fresh over the course of five albums is that we’ve tried a lot of different sonic approaches. We’ve evolved through a lot of hits and misses, and unapologetically so.” 
Hannah adds: “Having tasted and worked with elements from different genres over the years has given us as musicians a clearer direction of where we are headed, so that now we can bring something together propelled by a streamlined writing and production process that’s moving towards a more driving, funky and groovy sound.”    
The journey from this exciting musical flashpoint to a breakneck annual gig and tour schedule encompassing 90-110 shows a year began with months of writing and rehearsing three times a week before they felt ready to record and play live. Drawing on his many years as a gigging musician, Ray taught his younger cohorts that being a professional musician was not some fairy tale life; to make it a viable career, they had to put in hard work and stick with it. When they felt they were ready, Ken-e hooked Greye up with their first official gig, a local showcase on the beach called Bands on the Sand. 
Highlights among the hundreds of shows they’ve done since include playing the Thoroughbred Music and Arts Festival in South Carolina with Gregg’s son Devin Allman and closing the BMI Festival in Key West in 2015. They’re a true traveling band, taking their bus most summers as far as Upstate New York, Vermont and New Hampshire and as far west as Ohio and Indiana. In recent years, the band’s sets have become increasingly focused on their original material, but their traditional set lists included kick-ass versions of classics by Heart, Janis Joplin, Linda Ronstadt, Gavin DeGraw and the John Butler Trio.
Greye’s discography includes their debut album Providence(2014) and three releases on Lakehouse Records, including The Tube (2015), The Worrier (2016) and Windows (2017). The band has released multiple music videos showcasing their most popular songs, including “I Love You” and various tracks from Under The Weather, including “What If I” (directed by DMHS Damian Max Hardie Silva) and “Under the Weather,” directed by Brett Bortle of Weekend Warrior Productions, one of the premiere directors in the Charlotte, NC area. Weekend Warrior will also be producing the video for “Lucky,” to be released later in 2020. YouTube also has a small treasure trove of recent videos of shows the band has done in Orlando over the past year. 
 
“I think the most important factors that have kept us so excited and striving for more are the friendship we share and our collective passion for the music,” says Jett. “Everyone wants to be here and play. Everybody wants this to work and continue to evolve. That’s why when we come together, we’re always so focused and committed - because we truly want to get better. In this band, literally everyone does everything. When we’re in synch onstage, we know that all the hard work has been worth it.” 
Hannah adds, “At this point, it’s all about our love for the music. We’re so happy with where we are and I realize every time I set foot in the studio or onstage, these guys are my family. So it’s the passion for the craft but also being able to create music with the people you love.”
