The box sets’ accompanying book, 128 pages in the CD box and 84 in the vinyl set, will feature rarely seen and previously unpublished photos by photographers including Eric Stephen Jacobs, Tom Kelley, Geoff MacCormack, Terry O’Neill, Steve Schapiro, and many others as well as historical press reviews and technical notes about the albums from producers Tony Visconti and Harry Maslin. New album Episodic out August 5th via Topshelf Records Field Mouse has unveiled a third single from their sophomore album, Episodic, out August 5th via Topshelf Records. "The Order Of Things" hushed guitar sway recalls It's a Shame about Ray era Lemonheads. Earlier singles, "Out Of Context" (featuring Allison Crutchfield of Swearin' and Waxahatchee) and album opener, "The Mirror" are perfect examples of Field Mouse's guitar-pop prowess. If 2014's Hold Still Life was the fruition of Field Mouse's evolution from a fiery two-piece into a fully-fledged band, then new album Episodic is the letting go; the abandonment of past persuasions for something altogether more untamed. Where the band's initial work was self-recorded by founding members Rachel Browne and Andrew Futral, the new record signifies the first time that the quintet has composed an album together from start-to-finish - and the result is a record that feels altogether more defined. Recorded in Philadelphia with Hop Along's Joe Reinhart, and written through a twelve month period which delivered sudden family illness and a deteriorating relationship, Episodic is fashioned from ten feverish bouts of guitar-pop; led by Browne's fearsome and fearless vocal and informed by an instrumental backing that underpins the entire record with a vibrant concoction of guitar, drums and keys. Showcasing the band's ability to switch between mood and tone, the record shifts from the spiky immediacy of tracks such as "Accessory" and "A Widow With A Terrible Secret", to the more spacious moments, such as monumental center-piece "Beacon", without ever losing sight of the scuzzy, melodic pop songs that remain Field Mouse's distinct forte. Featuring guest turns from Sadie Dupuis (Speedy Ortiz), Allison Crutchfield (Waxahatchee) and Joseph D'Agostino (Cymbals Eat Guitars), Episodic is the sound of a fully-realized band truly coming in to their own; honest, direct and immensely powerful. www.fieldmousemusic.com @fieldmousemusic facebook.com/fieldmousemusic www.topshelfrecords.com Much to the excitement of music aficionados worldwide, prog legends Stick Men will be releasing their new album “Prog Noir” on October 21, 2016. It is now available for pre-order as a single disc edition and a super deluxe box set, which contains an additional bonus CD with exclusive material, a double vinyl version of the album, a t-shirt and poster. The band, featuring members of King Crimson, has also released a new lyric video for the track, The Tempest' A departure from their previous efforts, “Prog Noir” includes song oriented material, featuring vocals on several tracks. Says Tony Levin, “The album is somewhere between being the best of our current compositions, and having a unifying concept overall. Part way through the our recording process, the 'Prog Noir' title, lyrics and idea came up - it sort of shone a dark, noir light on what had come before, and it influenced what came after (including some 'noir' instrumental interludes that will be part of the box set version.) For me that's a good way to go - I like a concept involved with an album sometimes, but I don't feel it needs to encompass every piece.” Watch the new Stick Men video Stick Men is a progressive rock band created by musicians with extensive experience playing together. Pat Mastelotto and Tony Levin are the rhythm section of the legendary band King Crimson. Mastelotto is in demand all over the world as the premier drummer for progressive rock. Levin plays in Crimson, with Peter Gabriel, and has recorded with John Lennon, David Bowie, Pink Floyd and others. Markus Reuter is a renowned composer/guitarist who designed and plays his own unique touch style guitar. Tony Levin and Pat Mastelotto, the powerhouse bass and drums of the group King Crimson for more than 2 decades, bring that tradition to all their playing. Levin plays the Chapman Stick, from which the band takes it’s name. Having bass and guitar strings, the Chapman Stick functions at times like two instruments. Markus Reuter plays his 8-string touch guitar – again covering much more ground than a guitar or a bass. And Mastelotto’s drumming encompasses not just the acoustic kit, but a unique electronic setup too, allowing him to add loops, samples, percussion, and more. The result; audiences are fascinated by watching just three musicians onstage perform their unique compositions as well as wild improvisations and some cover versions of songs by King Crimson, Mike Oldfield, etc. Before “Prog Noir”, Stick Men have released 4 studio CDs (Soup, Absalom, DEEP, Open) as well as two live albums. Says Markus, “What's unusual about 'Prog Noir' is that we spent years composing it. Usually we get the ideas and quickly turn them into an album or start playing them in on the road. The imperative of a band like ours, that's out on the road touring a lot of the time, is to have new material each year. But this time the idea was to really refine the material, reject all but the best (indeed, there are some very nice pieces that didn't make the cut) and create a really special album that might define our band in terms of where our journey has taken us.” Stick Men is: Tony Levin - Born in Boston, Tony Levin started out in classical music, playing bass in the Rochester Philharmonic. Then moving into jazz and rock, he has had a notable career, recording with John Lennon, Pink Floyd, Peter Gabriel, Yes, David Bowie, Alice Cooper, and many more. He has also released 5 solo CDs and three books. In addition to touring with Stick Men, he is currently a member of King Crimson, of the Peter Gabriel Band, and of the Levin Brothers jazz band. His popular website, tonylevin.com, featured one of the web’s first blogs, and has over 4 million visits. Pat Mastelotto - Very rarely does a drummer go on to forge the most successful career on the demise of their former hit band. Phil Collins and Dave Grohl have managed it, so too has Pat Mastelotto, a self taught drummer from Northern California, who has also been involved with pushing the envelope of electronic drumming. Pat has spent a lifetime jumping genres from pop, to prog, to electronica to world music with – among others – Mr. Mister, XTC, David Sylvian, The Rembrandts, Kimmo Pohjonen, and for the last 20 years with King Crimson. Markus Reuter - Markus is a composer, guitarist, and producer. Initially trained as a pianist, he subsequently studied Robert Fripp’s Guitar Craft and learned to play the Chapman Stick, later moving onto the U8 Touch Guitar. Reuter has released many solo recordings and worked extensively with other musicians. He is one of the core members of the experimental band Centrozoon, is half of the duo Tuner (with Pat Mastelotto) and was also a member of Europa String Choir. Reuter has collaborated with Ian Boddy, Robert Rich, No-Man singer Tim Bowness, and many others. In support of “Prog Noir” Stick Men will tour Europe in October 2016, then again in January/February 2017 in the U.S. and Canada. Says Markus, “We love covering a lot of territories, so the future after those booked shows will involve our heading to S. America, Japan, and more places. Yes, we'll have some videos to offer of the new material - hard to describe those now because we're in the process of making them.”
ALL BOX SETS WILL BE SIGNED BY ALL 3 BAND MEMBERS (Tony, Pat & Markus).
All orders will be shipped in the late October.Paragraph. Swedish rockers SUICIDE BY TIGERS to release their self-titled debut album as CD, Vinyl and digital on September 2, 2016 via Smilodon Records/Sound Pollution. The album was recorded, mixed and mastered by Berno Paulsson (The Haunted, Amon Amarth, Spiritual Beggars) at Berno Studio, Malmö. The video for the song 'Vicious Malicious' can be viewed here: https://youtu.be/5saA3q_p2_o The soil of southern Sweden has for a long time been a great breeding ground for rock n roll. This trend continues manifested by Suicide by Tigers. Focusing on dynamic, blues based rock, with heavy guitars and strong melodies. Just like the British bands Free, Taste and Led Zeppelin they move from Light and Shade to Tight and Loose. Let the production and music making live! Suicide By Tigers from Malmö, Sweden defines hard rock as heavy guitar riffs, strong melodies and long guitar solos. We are many who share their love for the late sixties and early seventies rock, and Suicide By Tigers takes us further down that road with a modern twist. Nils, Peter, Johan and Petter formed their friendship in the club scene of Malmö back in the 90’s. They played in different bands, listened to each other and got inspired. Their influences were the same – classic rock giants as Deep Purple, Thin Lizzy and Jimi Hendrix to mention a few. During the following years they continued to hang out but professionally they headed in different directions. One late summer a few years ago Nils decided to finish a bunch of songs he’d been working on for a while. He called his long time friend and great guitarist Petter Rudnert to the studio. Suicide By Tigers was born. Today the band is a complete four-wheel drive, resting safely on the solid rhythm section in Peter Broch (bass) and Johan Helgesson (drums). Why Suicide by Tigers? Well the phrase that is derived out of thoughts and questions that awakes from looking into the ingenuity and madness that is aspects of human behaviour.
Joe Perry has returned to the stage with his band the Hollywood Vampires weeks after he collapsed during a concert.
The Aerosmith star was performing with his Hollywood Vampires bandmates Alice Cooper and Johnny Depp in Brooklyn, New York, on 10 July (16), when he staggered off stage moments into the gig at the Coney Island Amphitheater. He was subsequently hospitalised and was in a stable condition for several days. Reports suggested his health problems stemmed from a combination of dehydration and exhaustion. Now, after missing five concerts and a charity performance, the 65-year-old rocker returned to the stage for the band's show at Rohnert Park in California on Friday (22Jul16). The Hollywood Vampires posted a shot of Perry on Instagram on Friday, along with the caption, "Welcome back Joe Perry!" The rockers announced he would be making a triumphant return to their U.S. tour on Thursday, with Alice Cooper taking to Twitter to reveal the good news. "Joe is back! @JoePerry returns to the @hollywoodvamps tour tomorrow, 7/22 & will be with us thru (sic) the end!" he wrote on Thursday. The band will wrap up their North American tour in California on Monday (25Jul16). (Bron: Music-News) Don McLean has plead guilty to a number of charges related to his domestic violence incident in January.
McLean appeared in a Maine courtroom on Thursday and accepted a plea deal for misdemeanour counts of domestic violence assault, domestic violence criminal threatening, criminal mischief and criminal restraint. The deal removed a number of other charges that included terrorizing and obstruction. McLean will pay $3,000 in court costs, is not allowed to have any contact with his ex-wife for the next twelve months and must have a mental health evaluation in the next sixty days. If he complies with the terms, all charges will be dropped. McLean’s attorney, Walter McKee, says that the singer still is not admitting to what allegedly happened during the incident. “Don has been adamant since day one that he did not do what his now ex-wife said he did but, in the end, he decided it was better to just resolve the case now and be done with it by entering pleas with zero jail, zero probation, and only fines.” Since January, McLean’s wife has been granted a divorce and has detailed a marriage where she stated there were regular outbursts of anger. McLean’s daughter, Jackie, has also written recently of a childhood where she and her brother were often confined to their home and where their father would grow mad about their growing up. Rick will play Lucifer on the first few episodes of the CW’s Supernatural according to an announcement at the Comic-Con panel for the show. Executive producer Andrew Dabb said they wanted a real rock star for the part of a down-on-his-luck artist who becomes a vessel for the devil. Dabb said of Springfield “If you’ve seen Ricki and The Flash or True Detective recently, he’s really great.” It hasn’t been said how many episodes Satan will be taking residence. Acting is nothing new for Springfield. He currently shows 43 credits on IMDB going back to the 1973 kids show Mission: Magic! through guest appearances on TV’s Six Million Dollar Man, Rockford Files, Battlestar Galactica, Californication and True Detective, full time parts in General Hospital, and films such as Hard to Hold and Ricki and the Flash. The Cry Me A River singer was one of the competitors at the American Century Celebrity Pro-Am in Lake Tahoe, and while walking through a group of spectators, he was unexpectedly touched by an attendee, who reached out his hand and patted the right side of Timberlake's neck. In the video footage obtained by TMZ.com, the clearly frustrated singer, who was flanked by two security guards, turned around and yelled at the man, "Why would you do that?" Timberlake then stormed off as security guards at the event confronted the unnamed man. Representatives for the tournament tell TMZ the confrontation was minor and Timberlake, who did not have any visible injuries, did not want to press charges. Law enforcement officials say the spectator appeared to be intoxicated and became belligerent, claiming he only wanted to "touch" the pop star. Police later attempted to escort him off the course but they eventually arrested him for disorderly conduct, according to TMZ. Despite the strange contact, Timberlake managed to enjoy himself at the golf tournament. At one point during the event the Rock Your Body hitmaker had a special moment with former Fresh Prince of Bel Air television star Alfonso Ribeiro and professional basketball player Stephen Curry, with the trio having performed an impromptu version of Ribeiro's classic dance from the old-school TV show, the Carlton, on Saturday (23Jul16). On Sunday (24Jul16), Justin couldn't contain his joy over participating at the golf tournament, writing on his Twitter account, "What a weekend, Tahoe." (Bron: Music-News) Rihanna is apparently anti-Pokemon after demanding her fans be in the moment during her concert on Saturday night (23Jul16).
The Diamonds star brought her Anti World Tour to Lille, France, where she encouraged the thousands in the audience to truly enjoy the experience of the live gig as opposed to watching her show through the screens of their mobile devices. During her concert, she gave a speech about being in the moment, and called out any users of the popular Pokemon Go app, an augmented reality game in which users 'catch' the digital creatures. In video footage posted on Twitter, Rihanna is seen telling her fans, "I don't want to see you texting your boyfriends or your girlfriends. I don't want to see you catching any Pokemons up in this b**ch." The R&B star isn't the only celebrity to criticise the app, and among those who feel the same way is Zachary Quinto, who discussed the game while promoting Star Trek Beyond, a film which features a new theme song called Sledgehammer by Rihanna. Speaking of Pokemon mania, Zachary told Entertainment Tonight: "I think it's great that people are engaging with one another, but I feel like the ultimate goal for us is to be able to do that without these devices in our hands. "And I realise that technology has evolved and there's a lot of good that comes from that, and I have no judgement of people that are into it, but I feel like, how do we facilitate the conversation about connecting without these devices between us?" (Bron: Music-News) Lady Gaga has been selected to be the godmother of her childhood friend's baby.
The popstar has taken to social media to share that her friend Brian Newman and his wife Angie had chosen her to be the godmother to their daughter Sistilia, and went on to post several photos of the baby's baptism. To celebrate the occasion, Gaga, whose real name is Stefani Germanotta, shared a sweet black and white photo of her holding the baby, who was dressed in a traditional white dress. The Applause singer shunned her typical avant-garde outfits and went for a more conservative look, wearing a white button-up shirt with white baby’s breath flowers in her hair. "So proud to be made one of the Godmother's of our little angel Sistilia," she captioned the snap on Instagram. "@briannewmanny and his Wife Angie have been my friends since we were kids on the lower east side. It was a beautiful baptism and Italian style feast. We love u sissy!" The New York native also shared a photo of her with her father Joe Germanotta, Jr. and some friends, presumably taken at the dinner following the baptism ceremony. Gaga appeared to be in good spirits, despite confirming that she had split from her fiance Taylor Kinney last week (ends24Jul16). "The boys are back in town," she captioned the snap. "love that my daddy hangs out w(ith) my crew. Or that I hang out w(ith) his...I'm not sure anymore (sic)!" And it seems that little Sistilia is in good hands with Gaga as the multi-talented performer is said to take her role as a godmother very seriously. The 30-year-old already serves in the role for Elton John and husband David Furnish's two sons, Zachary, five, and Elijah, three, with Elton revealing in February (16) that Gaga takes a hands-on approach with the boys. "She buys them presents on their birthdays and at Christmas, but more than anything, she's a good godmother," Elton gushed on U.S. daytime show The Talk. "She comes and she bathes them, and she sings to them, and she tells them stories, which is the best thing of all; it's the personal thing..." (Bron: Music-News) Sharon Osbourne has forgiven her husband Ozzy Osbourne for allegedly cheating on her, but she will not forget his actions after calling him a a "dirty dog".
Earlier this year (16), reports suggesting the Black Sabbath frontman and his wife of 34 years were living apart amid allegations of Ozzy's infidelity surfaced. Sharon previously stated she was unsure about pursuing a divorce, and now it seems hard rock's first couple are on the road to reconciliation after Ozzy told U.S. breakfast show Good Morning America on Monday (25Jul16) that his marriage is "back on track again". He added, "Some days it’s good, some days it’s terrible, some days you just drift apart for a while, but you get back on the horse, you know?” Hours after Ozzy revealed they were working out their issues, Sharon gave her side of the story on her U.S. chat show The Talk, noting she would have used a different choice of words when it comes to describing the current state of their relationship. Sharon said. "'Get back on the horse!' how dare you? He's such a romantic fool. So romantic, 'back on'." The rock matriarch insisted she doesn't want to speak on his behalf, and revealed Ozzy actually wants to apologise for his actions on his wife's TV show. "He feels he owes everybody here an apology because he's put us all through it," she explained. "He's very embarrassed and ashamed about his conduct. Through his shame and embarrassment he finds it hard to get it out. With you guys I think he'll be much better. It will be easier for him to speak." Sharon continued her candid confession by admitting how difficult it has been for her to absolve Ozzy of his reported infidelity, saying, "It's been very hard... But for me, I forgive. It's going to take a long time to trust but you know we've been together for 36 years, 34 of marriage, and it's more than half of my life. I just can't think of my life without out him. Even though he is a dog. He's a dirty dog .So there we are. He's going to pay big." Sharon, 63, and Ozzy, 67, married in 1982 and have three adult children.
Upon first hearing the music of 35th and Taylor, it’s hard to imagine that two of the members are still in high school. But to write this bold group off simply because of age would be a mistake. Their achievements surpass countless bands ten and even twenty years their seniors, and with the debut of their new album, I Know You’re Trouble, they show no signs of stopping. “This is what we want to do with our lives” says lead singer Anna Taylor, who appeared on the sixth season of NBC’s The Voice three years ago at the age of 15- showcasing her incredible talent before some of the biggest names in music including Adam Levine, Blake Shelton, Usher, and Shakira. Anna found her way on to the show after being selected during an open call in New York City, beating out thousands of other performers. She had previously won multiple talent competitions near her hometown, including the Rockestra “American Idol” in Sioux City, Iowa- making her a battle tested competitor before she was old enough to drive a car. The other three members of the band are multi-faceted talents as well. Original member Evan Kaler is a gifted multi-instrumentalist who has found his place shredding on lead guitar and handling vocal duties. Members Jack Osborn (bass) and Max Miller (drums) were hand selected for their energy, sound, and musical flexibility. Jack is also versed in guitar, drums, trumpet, mandolin and cello- making the quartet as versatile musically as any out there. I Know You’re Trouble is the band’s third album, but according to Taylor it’s the first release that truly feels like their own sound. "We have recorded previously and have a couple of really good songs from the process, but this is the first time we were able to spend the hours needed to make a cohesive sounding 10 track album that we will be proud of forever, and that’s ultimately been the goal.” Evan adds “The biggest difference in the recording process this time around was working with producer J. Hall. His experience and knowledge helped us draw out and actualize a sound that we had been searching for on previous albums. Having a producer involved definitely helped us turn this album into a complete thought.” All under the age of twenty, the four members of 35th and Taylor left their parents’ homes in late 2015 to record the album in Nashville with alternative rock producer J. Hall. It consists of ten tracks and is now available on iTunes, Google Play and CD Baby. “The album has a no frills blues/rock feel to it, and it leans a little alternative,” says Anna. “The whole recording process was a grueling, but rewarding, experience. We lived down in Tennessee for a month without our parents, and it was definitely educational. We were up at 9am and logging 12 hour days in the studio, just grinding it out. They were long hauls, but it was incredible going into the studio with a song idea one day and then watch it change and go a new direction as everyone added their touch. We ended up loving the creative process behind it all, and I think the album really speaks for itself.” 35th and Taylor takes influence from contemporary rockers like the Black Keys, White Stripes, Grace Potter and Joss Stone. For their contribution to the future of music in Iowa the band received the “Spirit Award” from the Iowa Rock and Roll Music Association Hall of Fame in 2015, and they have also been spun on the FM dial via Clear Channel and Powell Broadcasting stations in Iowa. With I Know You’re Trouble the band continues their musical journey, and they are ready to bring their own sound and voices to the world. “I want tons of people to hear it and love it,” Taylor states of the album. “I want to continue playing and make a living doing what I love. Continuing to play festivals and new venues is the goal. We tour extensively throughout 6-7 states in the Midwest and want to keep branching out. We’ve opened for multiple national acts as well as headlined large stages- from Hard Rock Casinos to the Rally Point Stage at the Sturgis Motorcycle Rally. We will continue to grow as artists and performers, and we can’t wait for what lies ahead!” DUTCH PROG LEGEND ARJEN ANTHONY LUCASSEN RE-RELEASES RARE OUT OF PRINT ALBUM “STRANGE HOBBY”26/7/2016 STRANGE HOBBY was previously released in 1996 WITHOUT SAYING WHO THE ARTIST WAS! It can now be announced it was legendary Dutch prog artist ARJEN ANTHONY LUCASSEN! Arjen Anthony Lucassen is a Dutch progressive metal/rock songwriter, singer, multi-instrumentalist and record producer, best known for his long-running progressive opera project titled Ayreon. “Strange Hobby” has been OUT OF PRINT for OVER A DECADE and is now a much sought after collectors' item. This edition includes FOUR bonus tracks which have not been available on CD previously. Of this re-release, Arjen said “Back in 1996 I had so much fun recording Strange Hobby! It was great to take a break from recording my complex, bombastic Ayreon prog-extravaganzas and blow off some steam blasting out these rocky cover versions of my favorite songs from the sixties. I hope you’ll enjoy listening to this psychedelic blast from the past as much as I enjoyed recording it! Groovy!” This re-release of “Strange Hobby”, the first on Arjen's own Aluca Music imprint via Cherry Red, is likely to be a BIG SURPRISE to many of his fans! To purchase: Amazon: http://geni.us/kH3Rt8R Direct from Cherry Red: http://www.cherryred.co.uk/product/strange-hobby/ This 14th October sees the release of Sunlit Cross, the unwaveringly honest and raw new album from Nashville-based Luke Roberts. The music made by Roberts is wide in scope and spare in structure. It is as universal as it is poetically personal – if you have to truly label it, the right stamp to put on it might be “redemptive blues.” Sunlit Cross was recorded at Ronniejone$ound with Kyle Spence (who, in addition to recording tracks for Kurt Vile’s B’lieve I’m Goin Down, also drums with Vile and Harvey Milk). Spence and Roberts worked extensively on arrangements and instrumentation resulting in the most sonically rich record of Roberts’ career. Kurt Vile, with whom Luke had toured, added backing vocals and banjo on the track “Silver Chain.” In addition to Vile, other collaborators include John Neff (Drive-By Truckers) on pedal steel and Creston Spiers (Harvey Milk) on viola, guitar, and piano. Watch the Dillon Hayes-directed music video for debut single, “Silver Chain,” which presents the essence of Sunlit Cross and Luke Roberts’ inherent desire to look past the dark truths to see a real light.
Martin Garrix delivers new single ‘In The Name Of Love’ with Bebe Rexha and signs global label deal with Sony Music International “In The Name Of Love” will be out July 29th The quality of Garrix’s vocal contributions seems to keep on getting better with each release, with Bebe Rexha’s gorgeous delivery and the stunning songcraft of ‘In The Name Of Love’ up there with the best crafted pop music in the world. But this being Martin Garrix, you’re looking at something that falls perfectly between the worlds of arena level dance music and radio catchiness.
Rexha’s bittersweet tones are backed by muted guitars chords in the intro, soaring vocal harmonies soon joining for the refrain. The drop delivers a bombastic hip-hop style beat, driven by beefy kicks, huge synth chords and pitch-shifting vocal cut-ups, the glorious vocal continuing to gather power as the track goes on. This isn’t a simple beat + vocal exercise: it’s a proper song that’s been sculpted into a floor-ready bomb and carries all the emotion and impact that great pop music should always have. Bebe Rexha is an American singer-songwriter of Albanian descent who sang vocals on ‘Hey Mama’ with David Guetta, collaborated with Nicki Minaj on ‘No Broken Hearts’ and co-wrote Eminem’s huge ‘Monster’. Garrix’s collaboration with her gives a taste of what to expect on his debut album, which sees him team up with a host of incredibly talented vocalists and songwriters to create something a lot more meaningful than your usual dance album. “In The Name of Love” also marks the first release for Martin under his new worldwide deal with Sony Music International, which was announced earlier today. "Martin is one of the preeminent DJs in the world and we couldn’t be more excited to welcome him and his team to the Sony Music family” said Adam Granite, President Northern & Eastern Europe & Africa, Sony International. Martin Garrix said: “'I’m super excited to be working with such a hungry and passionate team at Sony Music Entertainment. Their forward thinking approach to streaming and incredible roster of talented artists combined with their passion and understanding for my vision of the future of my music made this a no brainer.” Martin Garrix feat. Bebe Rexha ‘In The Name Of Love’ is out on Sony Music International on July 29. MARTIN GARRIX Facebook | Instagram | Twitter | Website | YouTube | Soundcloud

Adele gave a fan a priceless souvenir at her concert on Thursday (21Jul16) by accidentally kissing him while on stage.
The Hello hitmaker brought her Adele Live 2016 tour to Vancouver, Canada, where she invited a 21-year-old fan, identified as "Wizzy" on Twitter, to the stage at Rogers Arena. He told his idol he had come all the way from his native Nigeria for the show, and, clearly moved by his dedication, Adele went in to give him a hug. However, as he was readying his phone to snap a selfie, he turned his head just as the star leaned in to kiss his cheek, and she ended up landing on his lips instead. While the fan was ecstatic about the slip up and began jumping up and down, the British singer immediately acknowledged the kiss and jokingly told the crowd, "Thank God my man ain't here (sic)!," referring to her longtime beau Simon Konecki. "Oh my God, I haven't been kissed by another man in like six years!" she added. "He just snogged (kissed) me!" The pair then went on to take a proper selfie, which Wizzy posted on Twitter. "Adele has hit the stage! And here I am with her! Who gon (sic) check me boo," he wrote in the caption. Adele and Simon, who share three-year-old son Angelo together, have been dating since 2011 - the last time she embarked on a world tour. The Grammy winner kicked off the current trek in Belfast, Northern Ireland in late February (16), and toured throughout Europe, where Simon was seen joining his girlfriend in various cities. He reportedly decided to stay home in their native England instead of join Adele for the North American leg due to his work with charity Drop4Drop, although he plans to fly out for certain stops along the way, according to Britain's The Sun newspaper. The Adele Live 2016 tour includes a total of 105 concerts across 18 countries, and she will wrap up the extensive trek in Mexico in November (16). The ‘Britain’s Got Talent’ judge revealed in an exclusive AOL Build UK interview today: “We toyed around with the idea of writing and seeing what organically grows.” “But 100%, I would love for us to have our moment, and for something to happen - but I don’t know when or where.” Says she would love to do musical theatre: “I’ve looked at musicals in the past and I would love 100% to do that. I’d love to be part of something fresh and new. I’ve started having acting classes. I’m definitely having those conversations.” On working on a new EP next month and creating her own music label: “There is definitely agism is the industry. I didn’t want to compete with 20 year olds. So I decided to setup my own label. I’m gonna start working on a new EP next month. I’m back on stage and I’m happy.” “A lot of the labels chew up and spit out artists. I don’t want to make money out of them.” Criticises famous people for opening up their relationships to the public: “Why is it with famous people, that they’re with someone else straight after breaking up!?” “You can’t complain about people speculating about your relationship when you put it out there.” Do you love Strictly Come Dancing enough to go back? “For me it’s about moving forward. I’m really sad Len’s leaving. No, I certainly wouldn’t be going back. Craig should be head judge, but I’m not the producer.” On working with Amanda Holden, who her biggest musical influence is and why she was the ‘first black Madonna’: “She’s filthy! You genuinely don’t know what’s going to come out of her mouth. She’s next level. It’s obvious we’ve formed a friendship.” Michael Jackson is my biggest influence, I used to copy all his dance routines. I was the first black Madonna at my primary school.” (Bron: Music-News) Demi Lovato is frequently frustrated when her charitable work is overshadowed by celebrity gossip and online feuds.
The 23-year-old pop star has spent the past few years putting her fame to good use by advocating for issues dear to her heart, including rights for the LGBT (Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual and Transgender) community and those suffering from addiction and mental health problems. But the Cool for the Summer singer has never been one to use a filter when it comes to speaking her mind, most recently engaging in an online feud with Mariah Carey fans after suggesting Ariana Grande was a better singer. Clashes such as those have made Lovato exasperated over which stories gain more media coverage, telling Elle Canada magazine she would much rather have her philanthropic efforts highlighted than celebrity squabbles. "It's frustrating to see my charity work overshadowed by silly things, but you have to roll with the punches," Lovato admits. "The accolades that matter most to me are the ones that recognise the work I've done charity-wise. That's really what matters most. No number one single can ever top that. It's the thing that keeps me strong, makes me feel that when I want to give up, I know I have this going for me." Lovato touched upon the recent feud with Carey's fans, which prompted her to take a break from Twitter - but it only lasted one day. "I came back so quickly because I was like, 'You know what? F**k this,'" she explains. "It doesn't mean that I should punish my fans for what my haters say. I'm just so tired of caring." In fact, one of the tweets Lovato sent upon her return to social media noted the lack of attention for her charitable work, writing, "That one time I started my own charity providing mental-health care for people who can't afford it and this is what y'all talk about." In 2013, Demi launched a scholarship programme providing financial assistance for transitional living and clinical services for mental health and/or addiction issues. She is also holding self-improvement events at stops throughout her current U.S. tour with pal Nick Jonas. (Bron: Music-News)
Ariana Grande reportedly had a proposed performance at the White House rejected because of the outcry over her doughnut-licking scandal last year (15).
WikiLeaks published thousands of emails on Friday (22Jul16) that it had hacked from the Democratic National Committee, including one thread revealing Ariana was vetted prior to being booked to sing at a White House gala late last year. Gawker reports the singer passed the criminal and financial record checks, but the background checks included a detailed report on the controversy surrounding the incident in which Ariana was caught on camera at a doughnut shop. The Bang Bang hitmaker licked two doughnut she did not pay for at a bakery in California, and was also caught saying "I hate America". There was public outcry after video footage was released, as Republican congressman Jeff Duncan from South Carolina called out America's "double standards" for not bashing the popstar over her candid words the same way it had presidential candidate Donald Trump over his comments regarding Mexican migrants. The White House report also includes notes about Ariana blasting a fan over a homophobic remark about her gay brother Frankie. In the leaked emails, staff member Kevin Snowden summarises the vetting of the pop star, and wrote, "Video caught her licking other peoples' dounuts while saying she hates America; Republican Congressman used this video and said it was a double standard that liberals were not upset with her like they are with Trump who criticized Mexicans; cursed out a person on Twitter after that person used an offensive word towards her brother." Upon this review, White House employee Bobby Schmuck replied simply to the suggestion that Ariana perform at the presidential gala with, "Nope, sorry." A representative for the singer has yet to comment on the report. (Bron: Music-News)
