The title track is a simple reminder that our similarities are more substantial than our differences, and in the end, there is no black or white or left or right; there are only hearts and minds.

​Philadelphia’s blues-soul singer and songwriter Deb Callahan releases her 6th CD “Backbone” on Blue Pearl Records. The CD, produced by Philadelphia producer, songwriter and guitarist Chris Arms was recorded live at Morningstar Studios in Norristown, PA with overdubs and mixing completed at Arms’ Studio 501 in Philadelphia. Deb recorded this album with her road tested, all- star band of Allen James on guitar, Garry Lee on bass and Tom Walling on drums. The CD features London’s producer and songwriter Danny Schogger on keyboards and Arms on slide guitar. There are guest appearances by Philly’s Jay Davidson on sax, John Colgan Davis on harmonica and Charlene Holloway on backing vocals. The core bands years of playing together creates a unique chemistry and an ability to play with an easy, nuanced improvisation. Highly recommended!

​Willie Jackson has a powerful Baptist preacher voice and his original sound is carved in the South Georgia tradition, a mixture of soul and rousing blues. The album contains twelve original songs and features guest appearances by Mary Davis of the SOS Band and Jimmy Williams of the band Brick. Blues, a lot of soul and swing are the main ingredients. He had a masterpiece on the shelves with the EP 'Chosen By The Blues'. Now he comes into the spotlight with the release 'All In The Blues'. Highly recommended release..!

​Now there is the long-awaited "Are You Ready? The Mississippi Sessions ". The duo went into the studio with a whole series of guest artists. The result, twenty songs that depict the trials of life, love and hard life lessons. Danny Brooks has that voice timbre with a low, raw, almost growl voice. Rock songs like "Are You Ready" are colored with those supreme vocals, heavy guitar riffs and a Memphis soul horn section. 

​The release 'Legacy' is an album with a mixture of soul, blues and funk. It's a pleasant album and a wonderful modern tribute to her daddy Sam 'Bluzman' Taylor. A blues guy that we saw performing live years ago...

​Again, what a hell of an album released by the KokoMojo label. Exciting rhythm & blues, blues and soul in 30 tracks, including a large number of world-famous songs. Moreover, all amazingly well remastered, giving you a sublime sound quality.
Although this' Rockin 'Soul Party' never mentions that it is volume 1, I can't get rid of the opinion, and I secretly hope that the label will not leave it at this first album.

​Frank Bey is a powerful and soulful blues singer, with a voice that is loaded with emotion. But who is able to subtly adapt to so many different sub genres of blues music. Following on from his award-winning album 'Back In Business' from 2018, Frank Bey has another handsome follow-up in store shelves with his sixth album "All My Dues Are Paid". The thirteen songs were written with Nola Blue Records label mate Kathy Murray, producer / guitarist Kid Andersen and co-producer Rick Estrin. The release was recorded at the famous Greaseland Studios in San Jose, California, where Bey was accompanied by some top musicians.

​The release ‘Outskirts Of Love’ marks a milestone in Sue Decker’’s capacity for crafting soundscapes, that tell each song’s unique story. ​On September 20th, Gulf Coast Records will release Soul Doctor, the new studio album from saxophonist/singer-songwriter Jimmy Carpenter. Jimmy was excited to be invited to record on Gulf Coast Records, founded by his long-time friend and frequent collaborator, Mike Zito, and new friend Guy Hale. Soul Doctor is Jimmy Carpenter’s fourth solo project and was recorded in Las Vegas at Nonebody Studio 1
